@GamesR4FITE Yes. There is no fixing it, however, I think LL is a bit too settled on their changes to ever take advice from anyone. They're not friendly nor helpful. Even over the phone they've treated me like shit.The only reason the put up with people? Money.

I so, so wish I could show people the awesomeness of SL. You have to know how to make money inworld to get the most of it, or buy lindens. I can see how people would hate this, or see it as boring, but it's always been a way for me to vent my negative emotions. The people that are more new to sl complain that the controls are horrid, but it's so easy. Meh! Oh well. Not all of SL is like this, especially when you role-play. :3

And I'm not really "new" to SL. I played it quite a bit a few years ago when my friends still played, as evinced by the size of my inventory.

@Voltiel Except that $17 a month gives you access to ALL of WoW, whereas individual objects have individual prices in SL...you could easily blow three times $17 for one twentieth the content.

@GamesR4FITE If someone wants to spend that much, it's their decision I suppose. Not defending SL - it can be pretty ridiculous sometimes, but I love it. So I suppose I just had to say somethin' after seeing this on tumblr. To enjoy SL you gotta be kinda crazy, which is just fine with me.

Ok after watching the full video and reading some comments , I dont think people realize what Second Life is, EVERYTHING you see in this video is user created, the buildings,the clothes, the avatars,those buildings are rented out to by a user that pays for the server hardware to other users to sell their own creations, making an entire economy. Its like a 3D internet, you "browse" by walking/teleporting/flying to see what you can see. As for the lag, usea different client, and bandwidth settings

@GamesR4FITE Second life is kinda odd, its kinda opensource so there are many clients or "viewers" branching out that make various optimizations and tweaks, Phoenix is based on the 1.x.x version of second lifes viewer because the community hated the official viewer 2.x.x there is firestorm in beta which is the 2.x version of phoenix, or if you want so more options just google second life viewers like Singularity,Imprudence,Emergen­ce, and no it's not a spam link.

I feel like a total noob, but Cleo.. how did you get your clothing? I am rather new to SL and I know most things you have to be premium to do and most of the time the severs are laggy as all to hell do to the masses of people and the fact they custom make content. Anyway, how do you get that? BTW I'm not trying to emulate you, I'm horrible at it.

@KruegerLot Well when I used to play, there were a few lots with some pretty good free clothing (I don't remember what any of them were called, sorry). I also spent maybe $20 real money over my handful of months playing SL, but I don't recommend it...spending real money on pretend clothing is pretty sad and depressing :p

But I haven't touched SL in over a year so everything's probably totally different now.

@GamesR4FITE Well, I joined a year ago, I am also dealing with the lagging you are dealing with and problem is I don't know where to go and such, I visited Hamburg, but for some reason the whole scenery won't load, I'll see nothing but white blocks, if it loads it'll be pixalated.. It's sad, I play video games all my life, most of them were MMORPG or life simulators and I can't freaking play SL because it's like... what is this MADNESS?

@KruegerLot I dunno either, but SL is pretty boring so you're not missing out. :p It's only fun as a kind of barbie dress up, and to chat with friends...there's no actual story or gameplay really.
