  • what kind of exhaust system you have on it?

  • no shock!

  • lol they beat it up nothing breaks, i go soft off roading everything breaks lmao

  • lookslike a lot of fun

  • The Budget Suburban rocks! I think I'd get seasick after riding in it for more than 100 feet though...lol!!

@mountainxplorer: How's the budget doin'? Still off roading with it?

  • LOL!! That was cool.

  • "Budget Suburban"......I love it !!

  • did you guys ever break any thing?

  • Just the front driveline CV joint wore out.

  • 4wd donuts r more fun. ;) if you can keep the front from hopping you can do them tight and fast.

  • Get some better shocks, dont want to get sag in the leaf springs. Trust me, it'll happen. My 89 developed that and it was FUCKING annoying.

Very nice video though. Not bad at all for a budget built old pos.

  • was it that hard of an engine swap with the 402 and what was in it originally? good song too

  • No it wasn;t hard. The hardest part was pulling the motor out of the motorhome. The 402 came out of a 25ft 1972 Open Road motorhome I bought for $250. It ran really strong, but I put a Comp 268 cam in it and an aluminum intake when it went into the Suburban. But for some reason in the Suburban it just didnt seem as powerful. Right now it's torn apart and the motor is getting different heads.

  • good stuff, I currently bought a 1988 2500 suburban with a TBI 454 in it and 4 inch lift for $300. it needs an alternator, starter, hubs, and fuel pump. I'll turn it into an offroader just like this one.

  • ahahahahah nice

  • give it the decensy of a good paint job

  • Being's that I have made a $200 profit off this Suburban and parts in it and still have it as a whole rig... paint wasn't much of a factor. Though maybe this year I'll break out the rattlcans and so some sort of paint job on it.

  • give it the honor of a decent paint job.

  • broken anything

  • Not really... which is why I like having Dana 60 front ends under everything. But the front driveline CV joint did go bad soon after.

  • where in tn was he stationed??

  • They live in Clarksville TN right now.

  • was it starvin when it was goin up the hill?

  • He was just letting off the gas when it started spinning on the hills. Those Ground Hawgs up front at full air pressure are horrible on any snow/ice. The motor in it has a valve guide going bad so I gotta pull it out. It wasn't quite running up to full potential this day, you could hear the valve rattling in the motor if you got close.

  • nice dude that burb is bitchen
