@illnino98 actually it's a lot more difficult than it seems. As well as the rest, it's pretty hard to keep the ball straight. A very slight miscue on the ball, and it could've easily missed.

@ggurks Sorry, not escape, I confused myself by watching a snooker being laid while writing about Ebdon's shot. But my original point stands: he played to canon the red and black, and it paid off.

Of course, whenever you play a canon, you take some risk that it will come off, but I don't see that as luck, just a calculated risk, if you see what I mean? That's how I see it when I play, anyway...
