I'll be surprised if we don't see a fourth season in a few years time.

justin and scott management, if you ever see this, i saw at the end of australia u were considering taking a break from it all and thats fine but since u originally did this for urselves, and then in season 2 came back because u declared u havent seen the world, look at how far uve come and it is very possible for u guys to see the entire world. I hope u continue filming seasons and with possibly a higher budget u guys dont have to make it so hard on urselves to travel continuously for a year.

I just saw this for the first time on Nat Geo. It was the episode they go to Mongolia. I'm hooked! Their director/cameraman guy (Andre?) is one helluva photographer. Love the shots, love the music, love the two guys. Awesome show.

Yes, they are currently half way through filming season 3. It will be released in Jan '10 I believe. Lots of updates on the Departures facebook group. :D
The opening song is simply called "Opening Theme" by Ryan Latham. It's an original song created just for Departures. I've been searching for it online but can't seem to find it anywhere. However, I have heard that they'll be releasing a Departures soundtrack in the Fall of this year, so I'm sure it'll be on it.
My favourite TV show, (and the only TV show I watch), the cinematography is gorgeous. Not to mention the travelling is always fun and highly interesting to watch.
When you guys went on the night time safari...that looked intense. Also loved the Reindeer people in Mongolia. (Momma sure could milk a reindeer). Lucky you guys don't have antlers!
so glad to see the season 2 opening posted here - now I can pass it along to some friends of mine! I can only imagine how much work goes on behind the scenes to make this program... sometimes travelling is gruelling enough without documenting it all along the way. so glad to see the season 2 opening posted here - now I can pass it along to some friends of mine! I can only imagine how much work goes on behind the scenes to make this program... sometimes travelling is gruelling enough without documenting it all along the way. Thanks for sharing your travels with us!
