The diva search was more about who pandered to the crowd. Melina got rejected from Tough Enough mainly because she had way too much experience. Most of the people on the show might have gotten a few wrestling classes from a local gym, but Melina had wrestled up and down the West Coast by that point. She would have been a ringer.
