  • This guy is awesome, but it's kind of strange to me to see a guy performing the song, "Hurt," in anything other than one of them rhinestone studded babies, lol. But is voice is amazing and dam can he hold a note!!!!! I wonder if he ever comes to the Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA, one can hope right, lol? I know he’s probably Canadian, but I like ETA’s from all over the world, since no one will ever fill The King’s shoes ever, ever one has their own unique style they bring to portraying him.

  • LOL @ 1937eddie. I'm sure Mr. James is so proud of the example you make as to the mentality of his admirers. How objective you are in your opinions. (Not). If you were a dog, you'd be one of those pea-brained ankle-biters... I'm done here.

  • See you in Collingwood.. cant wait.............

  • I saw Daylin in Collingwwod 2009 and we were thrilled when he very graciously let us take pictures with him and he even called me darlin". Still in love with Elvis after all these years. Daylin you rate way up there with your performance and Elvis manners. I'm only sorry I won't be in Collingwood this year.

  • While I have seen Daylin in many states and countries, I was not at this Collingwood performance. I do view it as outstanding, as all of his performances are, and it was done, I know, under adverse conditions of rain, lack of rehearsal, constant changes in schedule, and other factors that might detract from a leff professional performer's ability -- but not from Daylin's! He's amazing in any setting!

  • I cannot believe anyone with ears would comment negatively on this video. Daylin is a very talented individual. I have been to many of his shows and have always shook my head in disbelief at how amazing of a performer he is. I started going to Daylin James shows with my aunt, and he got me hooked on Elvis! Almost a year after my aunt's passing, hearing an Elvis song always reminds me of her. Daylin is a wonderful talent, something hard to find in this world. Keep up the great work!

  • To hear Daylin preform is a gift we should all appreciate and admire. He represents a wonderful Elvis in all the facits of his life. His voice is spine tingling!! and oh so memorable...once you have heard him....trust me you will want more.

    Teresa, Al & Joan.

  • Daylin is an amazing performer and a very generous person. I have seen him perform twice now and am looking forward to the next chance I get to see him. I love watching how the eyes of the older ladies in the crowd light up while he is performing!

  • Super job Daylin, I've been to a few of your performances and loved them all. My wife really enjoys you as well Song brings us all togther in the world, so keep pumping off those great notes. Much appreciated!!!

  • I worked with Daylin back in the day, we performed in an Elvis Tribute Show together. We all loved performing with him, Daylin has an amazing voice and is great at what he does. Go Daylin, you Rock!!

  • As usual, I think this was an amazing preformance and he did the song total justice. His preformances are top notch and I have been to 90 % of his shows and have NEVER been disapointed. He gives 100 % at all times. He is the best....

  • The only thing wrong with this performance is the keyboard. The mix is very bad, and it sounds as though the keyboard is playing in a different key from everyone else. Daylin's voice is very good. True, he's not Elvis. He is an Elvis tribute artist, which means he makes use of easily identifiable Elvis "quirks", and exaggerates them for effect. Holding long notes for an extended time, is an example.

  • I think Daylin James Deserved to win the title as Elvis he always gives his best performance his voice is dynamic he has great range and never fails to give his best in performing for his audience.

  • Daylin continues to "wow" his audiences with his perfomances, most recently on the "Independence of the Seas" cruise, where he performed in a show rated by many in the audience as the"best show on the ship" as he and Brad and Art (TA) did a benefit for Haiti to a full house of 2000. A job well done Daylin! So proud of you!

  • I find it unbelievable that anyone could comment negatively about his perfomance of the song that resulted in him winning the title of "International ElvisTribute Artist" - a title that he was awarded by none other than Elvis's backup group the Jordanaires! I had the privilege of being there when he won ... the crowd was on their feet instantly overwhelmed with the incredible power of his voice.

  • I should also add you were a very knowledgeable judge of the ship's final Karaoke contest. Glad I found your fan club info. on Facebook and website. Looking forward to your next cruise. Florence

  • I just returned from Royal Caribbean's Independence of the Seas' cruise, in which you performed several shows along with 2 other TA (Brad and Art). You were just awesome and deserved the many standing ovations you received. Particularly, in the packed 2,000 seat showroom, where the 3 of you performed a free benefit concert for Haiti. I also attended your benefit, for Haiti, at Sr. Frogs in San Juan. What a party! You can be proud of all your performances and the funds raised.

  • Thank you Daylin for sharing your incredible gift with the world. I truly have enjoyed every performance that I have had the privilege to attend. Elvis would be proud of the way you represent him in the many eras of his life. He would also be proud of your caring and generous nature, which was also such an important part of Elvis' character. May God Bless You!

  • Thank you for the wonderful words. They are so appreciated.

James Burton, Elvis' guitarist also made the same comment to me in Sheveport, Louisianna, about how proud Elvis would have been of my representation of him. I only hope that should I ever have the priviledge of meeting Elvis, his thoughts will be the same. All one can do is try to be honest and sincere, yet stay truthful to ones own self, that I think is what Elvis would appreciate. Lets hope.

    Daylin

  • This guy sucks I looked him up because sombody said he was better than shawn klush.

  • Everyones a critic :) Thanks anyway. Good thing they did not think that when I won in 97. I would like to believe The Jordanaires are a pretty good judge of character.

  • @robbye219 I don't know who this "Shawn Klush" guy is....but I don't HAVE to to know that Daylin could out-sing him...ANY day!!!

  • How come no one claps in the beginning??

  • I just seen your post..this is a 12 hour show, a lot of them are rubbish on this day, so we save it for the well know ones, Daylin was not known to me, this performance was bad, but he was good in the show the next day with Gino.Jay.Robin.hosted by Stephen Kabakos...Gr8 show Gr8 time.and I leave after those 4 days almost voiceless. xoxox

  • @spysear Oh i see, well i suppose a 12 hour show could definitely be tiring.

  • Sit through over a hundred Elvis' and you might not either.

  • @daylinj Oh trust me i probably would lol.

  • Are you kidding me? ...What, did his outfit shrink at the cleaners?? This is so not Elvis, and acts like this defile his memory to a generation that may not know the diff without doing their homework (I'm a lifelong fan, own hundreds of his songs, old concert footage, Memphis newspapers from the day after he died, the whole mess...)

  • Hey...do not be upset. You are very young. Those of us who were from the beginning...I first saw him on tv..Jimmy stage show...Jan 1956...are diehard fans....So can suggetst a few songs...Elvis was not just about rock and roll...check out Just pretend and Loving' Arms....truly amazing...

  • I'm quite familiar with "Just Pretend"--it's one of my favorites, as is "American Trilogy," "Make The World Go Away," "Until It's Time for You to Go," "I'll Remember You," "CC Rider," "Faded Love", "The Wonder of You," and "Let it Be Me"... I told you, I own hundreds of his songs, don't talk to me like I'm an upset 6-year-old. I'm not a moron or a poser, Daylin James is just way off the mark. Accept it.

  • @Kelzebel2012 OBVIOUSLY you haven't seen him LIVE!!!!!! Poor you.

  • Funny how you noiticed that.Suit was too tight. Traveling wreaks havok on ones wardrope :(

Drycleaners always do that to leather. Must be the salt in the suit from constant performing in it.

The show this day of course was without rehearsal, and off the cuff. Moniters were not much help either. I was really nervous and uncomfortable to pound out 'HURT' without a warm-up. Everyone has had better performances. I wish all circumstances could be perfect.

  • @daylinj LOL Daylin with "funny how you noticed"!! haha I LOVED that comment!

  • @Kelzebel2012 ACTUALLY??????? He has THRONES of people that LOVE to hear him AND watch him.........ALL to the BEAUTIFUL memory of Elvis!!!
