@Zeldaprincess Oh yeah. A lot of the original tales disney bases their movies off of are far more grim. If I remember, Ariel actually has her fin split in half, she almost drowns, then, like you said, she dances for the prince, while in agonizing pain.

And she turns into sea foam. Because the prince marries another woman on the last day.

I just love how even after watching Ariel make the dumbest mistake of her life, Sabatiean and Flounder didnt hesitate one second to swim to Ariels arms and swim her to safety when she started struggling with her new legs.
