King not being able to edgeguard was one of the two main points of why he lost. The other one probably was his uncapability to escape those upsmashes... but it's probably hard to see them coming. A normal fox dashdancing like this, you know he's coming for an upsmash, but since cactuar does it the whole game it's probably confusing enough.

Jman and Cactuar play the same with Fox. When you're at killing percent they Dash dance until they seen an opening and then up smash. Had Dan been more patient he'd have probably won this.

kinda, but they have very different styles. jman plays a semi-aggressive, in-your-face sort of style while cactus plays a very good defensive camp/punish game.

look at 4:16 cactuar lasers then dash dances which basically says "you have to come to me, but i'm going to cover all your options if you do"

well i know DI is a factor, but had he thrown him up, cactuar wouldve most likely landed n the platform. King couldve timed some up-airs and then rest. i know its a lot harder than it may seem, but the b-throw didnt even throw him off the ledge, so IMO that was kings best option.

Meh, King's edgeguard sucked ass this match.. he didn't pull it off a single time! Cactuar had some smart recovery with two shines off the edge though.. but still, slack edgeguard by king.
