I don't know what cars Edmunds was testing. MT got the 06' STI 13.0 in the 1/4, faster than the IX Evo. I love both cars, I have had both Evo's and STI's, and both are incredible. My 06 STI was one of my favorites.

Theres no way the '06 STi does 0-60 in 5.6 seconds. The person behind the STi had no clue how to drive it... Subaru list the STi 0-60 time in 4.8 secs.. granted that a person who knows what he's doing. The average joe would do fairly worst with about 5.2-5.4 seconds. But bottom line.. STi 0-60 is 4.8

@fordfan197 Drive both brotha, that's the only way you'll be able to decide. I just test drove an Evo 9 MR, and 10 in both the MR and GSR versions AND both the 10' and 11' STI and the Evo IX MR is the way to go in my opinion. You just can't base your decision on numbers alone. Both look very similar on paper according to numbers but the EVO X had little driver road feedback, IMO, and the STI was as stable around corners. Very happy with my Evo 9 MR. Hope this helps!

These are 2 different cars! The STI has better materials and is more daily driver friendly. The Evo is more rally inspired to go fast anywhere. For me i love the Subie because i always just liked them better. The Evo is just to cheap for me... You just can't go wrong with the evo. Not trying to hate on the WRX, it's a great car but the evo just had it that generation. Both look really ugly now though in my opinion. In one corner you have an undergrown Legacy and in the other you have a wedge with panel lines that just extend way too high and kill the looks.

the scubys have all the things women need. a bulging curvy body / flashy interiors / loadsa understeer and a cheaper price tag. The evo on the other hand has all the things men need. Sharp body lines with a mean looking front end/ tech laden interiors without flashy finish/ precision handling(thanks to computers) and a bit more expensive on the pocket but VFM!
