hi i have a senegal parrot i got him of a lady who no longer wanted him and i was just wondering if this is normal or not, he drinks about a cup full of water a day and when he has a wee it squirts like a hosepipe and the cage is a right mess all the time. i have had him about three mounth now and he has bean like this since the day i brouhgt him home. i have 2 other parrots of diffran't breads and they do notting like this. thanks
It's not normal for a bird to drink that much water. He may have a medical problem. An intake of a lot of fruit can also give your bird watery stools however, it does not sound like that's your problem. Anytime a person acquires a pet, they should read as much information about that animal or bird as possible and become eduated to ensure that they are giving their pet the best care possible so the animal or bird will be healthy and happy. Your bird needs to see a qualified veterinarian.
haha nice music it almost reminds me of harry potter music it matches the vid. how much time do senegals need out of there cage, and how much time do they need to be actually interacting with their owner?
I'm sorry but is this normal for this species of bird to barely make any noise like this? Amazing parrot but i cant believe how quiet it is :/

i have a senegal called polly she dances and jabbers away and goes crazy if you wont give her any chips she loves being stroked.
but my tv has just gone and broke so im gonna have to sell her if anyone is interested im asking 175
