i still like coastal scents and bh...it doesn't matter if the products are the same...coastal scents has things that bh doesn't and vice versa...i feel safer ordering products from the u.s to canada then beijing to canada and i won't get slapped with outrageous customs fees...i'll pay the extra 5 dollars per palette, have it arrive to my home safely and enjoy my products!
I have the Coastal Scents 28 Neutral Eye & the 88 warm palettes. I thought the colors were pretty, but they made my eyes itch. I had to give them to my daughter. I had noticed that they were exactly the same colors as many other companies but the cost was different. Thanks for the honesty.
Hongkong they are the real wholesalers and im really sure that they sell to coastal scents too the differece of the pallete is packaging trust me there's noting difference and about the color of the pallete in blush and bronzer actually they have 2 type which coastscents order just one type(the goods that i order from Hongkong there have no brand like on ebay) i hope it help ^v^

Beauty Lovers: Please save your hard earned $ and just buy all the palettes off Ebay!! They really ARE the SAME and the colors ate just mixed up a lil sometimes. I have bought them ALL, even the crazy over priced $24.00+ palettes from C.S, for basically UNDER $10.00 each!!!!! I know... right!

Those palette are all the same, they all from china wholesale company, you guys can check in alibaba.com which is a online shopping site! I am sure you guys will be shock about the price for those palette!!
I found out about the wholesale issue very early on when I ordered a palette off ebay and it came with a catalog of other very familiar palettes (all wholesale made in china) and then all these other makeup sites start selling those exact same palettes but just slapped their labels on them. As retailers they have that right but as a consumer and reviewer I always go to whoever offers them for the best price and refuse to accept wholesale mass-produced products for review anymore.
yes they might come from the same factory but every brand probebly has its own demands on the product. for example the brand that charges more will only accept the colours within a smaller error range (example pigmentation 97 to 100% or somthing like that) as the other company wil also order the same colour but will accept a whider error range (example 90 to 100%) so if you are lucky with the cheep brand every coulour could be within the 97 to 100 range but they also could all be 90%!!

I think Celia makeup saw this review and jacked up their price. it's 17.99 right now. And i do have this pallete by coastal sense and i love the colors but next time i think i'll try celia since you believe it's better quality.

You can look at the Palettes and see they are basically the same. That is true for a lot of the make-up you buy. READ THE LABELS. That's the way it is. Even with a lot of your clothing. My sister worked at a factory that sewed in labels from sweaters made cheaply in another country. They will sew in labels for different stores to the exact same sweater. Some went to Macy's some went to JCPenny's totally different prices, but same item. Are you really surprised??? That's the way it's always been,
I have a bh cosmetics palette, the packaging is a little different than the other company's, but I do see that all the palettes look similar. The only thing is, im afraid to buy a "no name" palette from ebay, I would be afraid to buy something like that from China. Dont they have different health rules or something?Im afraid it wouldnt be safe to use on my eyes. @zvezdapadalica15 yes, I understand that CS and BH buy the palettes from china. All I was saying was that I feel more comfortable buying from the American company. In fact, I feel more comfortable buying from a company site than on ebay anyways, regardless of where the product is from. Also, the shipping is much faster. Ive bought from China on ebay before and it always takes a long time, when Id rather get it in a week. So, I don't mind spending the extra 5 or 10 dollars.

Thank You so much! I was so skeptical about these palettes (CS, BH, Manly so on). In Europe they go with the Zoave brand(I think that's how it's spelled)...so I was quite positive that they all came from the same supplier/manufacturer. So at the end of the day maybe cutting off the middle man might save you a few more bucks...but again if the real value of these palettes are around 5-6 dollars...are they safe? That's more important than the prices. Btw I subscribed!Love your attitude.
I have bought the manly palette and the coastal scent and I think they both suck . The manly palette has colors that aren't high in color pay out and chalky. The finally look can seem cheap looking . A person can experience alot of fall out at times. I just got the coastal scent and think some of the colors aren't as rich as they appear .

Yazmo is a HUGE rip off...i never even heard of them before watching this but looking at their site they sell eyelash curlers for almost $15? and almsot $30 for a pair of tweezers? PLEASE. lol i can go down to the hair store and pick up eyelash curlers and tweezers for a total of maybe 4 bucks..i always say its not always about spending a lot because if you spend loads and dont know how to use them its useless.
Also, quite a few Hong Kong sellers offer free international shipping. I'm in Canada, took two weeks to get to me. They had a delivery time chart and most countries fall between 10-15 business days. Some 16-22. It's really not that bad. I'm eyeing the Metal Mania palette right now lol. $13.38US and that includes international shipping! So tempting....
I figured this out too, by just looking at the YT tutorials. I was thinking "Wait a minute, Coastal Scents and BH Cosmetics have the same palettes?" I thought Amazon had a great deal, then decided to go on Ebay to compare the palettes from China and they were exactly the same. I bought two from Hong Kong, the 28 Neutral Palette ($9.99 +Free shipping) and 26 Eyeshadow/Blush Combo ($13.99+Free Shipping). Both sellers were above 99%. No brand names labeled on them.
@BlahChild Coastal Scents and BH may get their items from the same manufacturer BUT they have different products...i can't find the same products on both sites...

They are the same look at the ingredients. I don't purchase palettes like that from bhcosmetics or coastals scents I get mines from eBay because they are the same. The only difference is the name on the palette.

Even though Celia is selling the products at a "cheaper" price, their s&h is over the top and basically evens out the price between Celia, Coastal Scents, BH Cosmetics, etc. I am a little skeptical about how she reviews them, just because I do have the Coastal Scents palettes which are rich enough and do blend well.

I live in MA & I also often wonder why it cost more for product to be shipped from NY to MA than from china to the US. All my "Coastal Scents" palettes are no name off of eBay but exactly the same and an average of 20 bucks cheaper. While make up snobs freak out because I don't know where they have been, I laugh because they have been where theirs have been.. minus the printing press :P

I bought a 180 palette even cheaper than what celia-makeup has on ebay. The total was $31.50, including shipping. celia-makeup has theirs for $48.48, including shipping.
She didn't say that Celia is "better" she just said that u can get the "same" thing for cheaper price and plus, her palattes just seemed to be "fresher" n "stayed on a shelf for less time" which is why she would prefer the Celia.

I just bought a 120 palette from the Chinese distributor .. I realized that CS and other sites sell the same products a while ago. I prefer to order from CS though because I'm able to purchase different products not sold on other sites such as Shea Butter, micas, silica powders, etc. I would only be disappointed if I purchased several overpriced palettes but I only have the 88. But thanks anyway for bringing this to the light as I'm sure many people are still unaware of this.
Ebay is the way to go when it comes to color palettes. Yes, it may take a good while to get to your house, but when money is tight, I can afford to wait. I recently just got a 28 blush color palette for $11 dollars, including shipping. While Coastal sells theirs for $19 dollars. I also bought a 66 lip gloss palette for $10 dollars, including shipping. Coastal sells theirs for, again, $19 dollars. And I'm not sure what shipping they have. It's amazing what money you put down for a fancy name.
Thank you about the reviews. I have been wanting these palettes from Coastal Scents for ever. Here in the Gulf the price (delivered to your door) hovers around £27 (or $42). My only concern is that the pots arrive cracked in the mail.

when buying from coastal scents you get your items quick (less than a week), but through ebay it takes forever (3-5 wks)! so technically you pay for shipping charges. if youre in no rush go for ebay. if you want ur items quick go for a coastal or bh.

Sorry to say, it was obvious to any one with eyes that all the makeup comes from the same distributor. I'm not into make-up but looking at all the different reviews of the different pallettes cleary it's all the same just different names.
I think the real question is what are the ingredients used in these palettes and is there anything harmful? When something is too cheap or too good to be true it could be that a company is cutting corners or using inappropriate ingredients. They may not be held to the same standards of manufacturing.

Thats what is in the 28 Neutral. Talc is said to cause cancer and mineral oil could be bad for your skin.
I have one of the Coastal Scents palettes, but I've noticed so many other similar ones. I even saw one at CVS for $4.99. It was smaller than the 88 palette, but it was the same kind of packaging and colors. Wish I saw that before I bought the Coastal Scents one. I bought my CS at Amazon. It was about 20 bucks, but I added something else to get free shipping.

I also discovered this some months ago. One of the google ads that is on the side of the youtube videos sell these on their sites. And they offer YOUR brand name to print on them........They also sell "genuine" mac, dior etc products....it sickens me that people get away with doing this!!!

Thanks a lot for this video. I've known about this for a long time, I bought all my pallettes on ebay, from Hong Kong. Yesterday I did a price comparison with a shop here in Holland and I was stunned at the bargain I got. On average I've paid only a third of the retail price they charge here. And that includes shipping from Hong Kong. I saved about 200 euros buying these palettes from ebay.
I've found them on another site for about $10 a pop...it's amazing how much mark up companies tack on to their products...I understand profit but ripping someone off is a whole different subject lol! I'm so glad I came across your videos!!!

Eh, I have the BH 88 matte, and I don't really mind if it's all from an umbrella company. There are a lot of cool colors, and you can do a lot of diff looks, for a reasonable price. I'm just kinda fed up with paying 10 dollars for one tiny eye shadow, so I'm happy with what I bought. It's easier on the wallet. :)

I just bought the concealer palette and a brush set from celia-makeup. This is my first time. I paid for both items seperately (first i paid for one, and afterwards i paid for the another one. Same seller ..)

coastal scents got their palettes from a manufacturer in China. Many other companies in diff parts of the world do too. So basically the company will be given a black-case makeup, and they are just supposed to print their company's name on the case. they are safe to use though.
I just ordered my palette from coastal scents for $1895 but let me say this. i saw a brief video from BH cosmetics and I knew instantly that It was the same as costal scents. I should have checked the price difference but I didnt. I was ok with the $ 1895 so I paid it. Plus I saw 100 positive reviews and felt that I was good with ordering it.

yes they might come from the same factory but every brand probebly has its own demands on the product. for example the brand that charges more will only accept the colours within a smaller error range (example pigmentation 97 to 100% or somthing like that) as the other company wil also order the same colour but will accept a whider error range (example 90 to 100%) so if you are lucky with the cheep brand every coulour could be within the 97 to 100 range but they also could all be 90%!!

I think Celia makeup saw this review and jacked up their price. it's 17.99 right now. And i do have this pallete by coastal sense and i love the colors but next time i think i'll try celia since you believe it's better quality.

You can look at the Palettes and see they are basically the same. That is true for a lot of the make-up you buy. READ THE LABELS. That's the way it is. Even with a lot of your clothing. My sister worked at a factory that sewed in labels from sweaters made cheaply in another country. They will sew in labels for different stores to the exact same sweater. Some went to Macy's some went to JCPenny's totally different prices, but same item. Are you really surprised??? That's the way it's always been,

I have a bh cosmetics palette, the packaging is a little different than the other company's, but I do see that all the palettes look similar. The only thing is, im afraid to buy a "no name" palette from ebay, I would be afraid to buy something like that from China. Dont they have different health rules or something?Im afraid it wouldnt be safe to use on my eyes. I just feel more secure if im buying it from an actual company (and from an American company), even if it is the same.

In fact, I feel more comfortable buying from a company site than on ebay anyways, regardless of where the product is from. Also, the shipping is much faster. Ive bought from China on ebay before and it always takes a long time, when Id rather get it in a week. So, I don't mind spending the extra 5 or 10 dollars.

Thank You so much! I was so skeptical about these palettes (CS, BH, Manly so on). In Europe they go with the Zoave brand(I think that's how it's spelled)...so I was quite positive that they all came from the same supplier/manufacturer. So at the end of the day maybe cutting off the middle man might save you a few more bucks...but again if the real value of these palettes are around 5-6 dollars...are they safe? That's more important than the prices. Btw I subscribed!Love your attitude.

I have bought the manly palette and the coastal scent and I think they both suck . The manly palette has colors that aren't high in color pay out and chalky. The finally look can seem cheap looking . A person can experience alot of fall out at times. I just got the coastal scent and think some of the colors aren't as rich as they appear .

Yazmo is a HUGE rip off...i never even heard of them before watching this but looking at their site they sell eyelash curlers for almost $15? and almsot $30 for a pair of tweezers? PLEASE. lol i can go down to the hair store and pick up eyelash curlers and tweezers for a total of maybe 4 bucks..i always say its not always about spending a lot because if you spend loads and dont know how to use them its useless.

Also, quite a few Hong Kong sellers offer free international shipping. I'm in Canada, took two weeks to get to me. They had a delivery time chart and most countries fall between 10-15 business days. I figured this out too, by just looking at the YT tutorials. I was thinking "Wait a minute, Coastal Scents and BH Cosmetics have the same palettes?" I thought Amazon had a great deal, then decided to go on Ebay to compare the palettes from China and they were exactly the same. I bought two from Hong Kong, the 28 Neutral Palette ($9.99 +Free shipping) and 26 Eyeshadow/Blush Combo ($13.99+Free Shipping). Both sellers were above 99%. No brand names labeled on them.

I'm in the UK, so the closest I found to Coastal Scents is JC-Nadia-Paris:
The palettes look the same, the information and everything is absolutely the same.
I wrote them an e-mail asking, are these the same that Coastal Scents have, they said they've never heard of Coastal scents.
Though the price is quite normal, since the shipping from the U.S. to UK adds up.

Even though Celia is selling the products at a "cheaper" price, their s&h is over the top and basically evens out the price between Celia, Coastal Scents, BH Cosmetics, etc. I am a little skeptical about how she reviews them, just because I do have the Coastal Scents palettes which are rich enough and do blend well.

I realized that CS and other sites sell the same products a while ago. I prefer to order from CS though because I'm able to purchase different products not sold on other sites such as Shea Butter, micas, silica powders, etc. I would only be disappointed if I purchased several overpriced palettes but I only have the 88. But thanks anyway for bringing this to the light as I'm sure many people are still unaware of this.

Ebay is the way to go when it comes to color palettes. Yes, it may take a good while to get to your house, but when money is tight, I can afford to wait. I recently just got a 28 blush color palette for $11 dollars, including shipping. While Coastal sells theirs for $19 dollars. I also bought a 66 lip gloss palette for $10 dollars, including shipping. Coastal sells theirs for, again, $19 dollars. And I'm not sure what shipping they have. It's amazing what money you put down for a fancy name.

when buying from coastal scents you get your items quick (less than a week), but through ebay it takes forever (3-5 wks)! so technically you pay for shipping charges. if youre in no rush go for ebay. if you want ur items quick go for a coastal or bh.

I think the real question is what are the ingredients used in these palettes and is there anything harmful? When something is too cheap or too good to be true it could be that a company is cutting corners or using inappropriate ingredients. They may not be held to the same standards of manufacturing.

I have one of the Coastal Scents palettes, but I've noticed so many other similar ones. I even saw one at CVS for $4.99. It was smaller than the 88 palette, but it was the same kind of packaging and colors. Wish I saw that before I bought the Coastal Scents one. I bought my CS at Amazon. It was about 20 bucks, but I added something else to get free shipping.

Yesterday I did a price comparison with a shop here in Holland and I was stunned at the bargain I got. On average I've paid only a third of the retail price they charge here. And that includes shipping from Hong Kong. I saved about 200 euros buying these palettes from ebay.

Eh, I have the BH 88 matte, and I don't really mind if it's all from an umbrella company. There are a lot of cool colors, and you can do a lot of diff looks, for a reasonable price. I'm just kinda fed up with paying 10 dollars for one tiny eye shadow, so I'm happy with what I bought. It's easier on the wallet. :)

very informative...i was thinking the same thing too. i've ordered a couple of palettes from coastal scents, i love them and i will continue to buy from coastal scents. i would like to know though the time of shipping from celia, it took two days with coastal scents....

i just discovered u earlier today with you how to become a makeup artist video & i love how informative & helpful u r. i havent watched anyone as benevolent & thoughtful as u on youtube & i think ure awesome! thanks for what ive learned in what i have watched & what i will learn in the future. im glad i stumble upon this video bc i was going to buy more palettes from costal scents to build my kit & now i will get them for so much cheaper!!! :-.D

You can find these same pallets on ebay with no brand label for $5. Its amazing how it works.

coastal scents got their palettes from a manufacturer in China. Many other companies in diff parts of the world do too. So basically the company will be given a black-case makeup, and they are just supposed to print their company's name on the case. they are safe to use though.

I just ordered my palette from coastal scents for $1895 but let me say this. i saw a brief video from BH cosmetics and I knew instantly that It was the same as costal scents. I should have checked the price difference but I didnt. I was ok with the $ 1895 so I paid it. Plus I saw 100 positive reviews and felt that I was good with ordering it.

Im so glad that you made this everyone swears that stuff you get from china and it has all this stuff and people dont know that most of these company outsource to china everything mainly we get is from there and i cant stand when ppl say shit is so fake and it did this and that im a new subbie and im glad for this video
