@ksisick When I was in Alaska they would shoot bear with rock salt to drive them away. Part of appreciating wildlife is ensuring that their fear of man remains intact.

@ambubblegum I'm pretty sure he found his mom after they let him go. That store is right by the edge of the forest, so he probably just wandered a way from her and found his way inside.

But, what has happened to him? Fortunately, the "authorities" did not euthanize (kill) him outright. But, we are told someone released him into the woods behind the store. We are also told he was too small to know how to make a winter den for himself or to survive the winter. Is he hungry? Is he wandering around not knowing how to take care of himself? We don't seem to care.
