Anthem Blue cross, for example, one of the largest insurance companies in Cali, is raising rates beyond 30-47% within the next two years. There's a large price hike in medical care, insurance rates, and we're supposed to beleive it's not a symptom of Obama care?

They just know that they're going to be getting free tax-payer money from the government and forced compliance to buy insurance from every American who can afford it. With that said, if they can't afford it, Americans can't be forced to buy it. Period. So if that's the case the program would be a failure. So it will succeed or fail on its own merits. If it's obviously not working, the taxpayers will demand its removal.

No, the constitution does not allow for citizens to do that at all... to interpret the second amendment that way would mean that you find the rest of the constitution contingent on that single provision, because you hold that provision as a means to effectively revolt and dissolve the constitutional order. Why would the framers include a self destruct button, if they made pain-staking efforts to ensure the constitution could be amended and evolve? This understanding is mistaken.
If I may interject here, the framers of the Constitution made it quite clear in many of their writing that the 2nd Ammendment really was to serve a variety of purposes, not the least of which was to deter an ever-developing government from becoming un-Constitutional. The 2nd Ammendment is to serve, in part, as a reset switch for the Constitution, not to dismantle it.

Also you did not have the extremely advanced technology and powerful pharmaceutical industries back in the old days which is another reason why healthcare costs have skyrocketed. We demand the latest and greatest rather then what actually works. Because of that we are profit for service oriented rather then profit for results oriented. That is why many other nations with supposedly inferior socialized health-care have lower costs and better health outcomes on average.

@SeppLainer Which is why most liberals were NOT happy with Obamacare. It is NOT socialized medicine but rather instead is just subsidizing insurance companies with too few mechanisms to control rising healthcare costs. Howard Dean had a much better plan based partly on what Vermont uses and that was actually socialized medicine but that faced way too much opposition from both parties and special interests.
If it means anything, your insurance rates would have gone up regardless eventually.

Ummmm herp derp you are clueless. Insurance has already started going up in ANTICIPATION of the law taking affect. Anthem Blue cross, for example, one of the largest insurance companies in Cali, is raising rates beyond 30-47% within the next two years. There's a large price hike in medical care, insurance rates, and we're supposed to beleive it's not a symptom of Obama care?

@SeppLainer The rates would be going up regardless.. They just know that they're going to be getting free tax-payer money from the government and forced compliance to buy insurance from every American who can afford it. With that said, if they can't afford it, Americans can't be forced to buy it. Period. So if that's the case the program would be a failure. So it will succeed or fail on its own merits. If it's obviously not working, the taxpayers will demand its removal.

@SeppLainer By the way, Anthem Blue Cross made almost identical rate increases last year which had NOTHING to do with Obamacare. These rate increases are a symptom of the skyrocketing increases in healthcare demand and cost. The insurance companies are in the business of making money, not losing money hence the rate increases. Our chief problem is that the medical industry is a profit for service industry rather then a profit for outcomes based industry. Hence why we don't get our money's worth.

It shifts the blame away from them and on Obama while insuring healthy quaterly profits for stock holders. So of course they would do this as they have a virtual monopoloy on insurance in California.
Yes medicare/medicaid is partly responsible for health care increases due to an increase in demand on healthcare services. So please tell me the free-market solution.

I must respectfully disagree. Documents such as the Declaration of Independance, the Federalist Papers and other letters by those same people go on to clarify the Constitution very clearly. Is the Democratic process the obvious method? Yes! Absolutely. However, if the system becomes corrupt to the point it cannot be recovered, then revolution is an option. Afterall, our country was based on revolution.

No, the constitution does not allow for citizens to do that at all... to interpret the second amendment that way would mean that you find the rest of the constitution contingent on that single provision, because you hold that provision as a means to effectively revolt and dissolve the constitutional order. Why would the framers include a self destruct button, if they made pain-staking efforts to ensure the constitution could be amended and evolve? This understanding is mistaken.

If I may interject here, the framers of the Constitution made it quite clear in many of their writing that the 2nd Ammendment really was to serve a variety of purposes, not the least of which was to deter an ever-developing government from becoming un-Constitutional. The 2nd Ammendment is to serve, in part, as a reset switch for the Constitution, not to dismantle it.

Nobody knows how the universe was before the big bang, the god thing is just a way of saying "hey, this sounds good." Problem is, there's no physical evidence (don't say creation points to god, this universe is actually pretty terrible if you think about it). Also, where did god come from?
