get bigger strings and you don't need 7 string guitar lol, I use 58, 48, 38, 28, 18, 14 gauge strings can go Drop-A, B-standard, Drop A#, Drop-C, basically any tuning

i use 52-10s.

for better pinch harmonics, i ripped off the 52, and threw on a 49 on top. try it. the harmonics are amazing.

don't ask me how i know that.

that depends on your pick 49's are weak, pinch harmonixs are all about how you use your pick to do them with technique, guage has nothing to do with it, in fact bigger gauges are easier to harmonix with
