Go into your music folder and click itunes, find the Itunes Library.itl, now dont erase .itl add .old... So it should look like Itunes Library.itl.old

@fabian25561 If you're on Vista64 you need to go to control panel and uninstall iTunes and all of it's companions made by Apple in a certain order. Apple has a guide to do this, you can find it on their website.

Just got my itouch yesterday from best buy and this video worked perfect!!!!!!!!!! only thing that was missing that was messing me up was that when you start QuickFreedom the user doesnt install it he only shows you the steps so i had to install it then everything worked great.

Hey guys! if you have ipod touch 3G 8GB you dont need to use this trick, all you need is download Ipod touch 2g 3.1.2 firmware and then with itunes hold shift + restore then choose the 2g 3.1.2 firmware for your 3g 8Gb (mc model or non) ipod touch then it will downgrade for you! I had 3.1.2 firmware for my Ipod touch 3g and mc model 32Gb with jailbroken by blackra1n but.. I accidently upgraded to 3.1.3 firmware and now i cant get it downgraded cause 32Gb and 63Gb will not work... for downgrade!

Every time I try this, it gets as far as binging the progress bar up on the ipod, then does it's validation with Apple for the 3/4th time, and then fails with error 28.

Can restore 3.1.3 back on no problems.

Any ideas?

and download that other program (Quick freedom)

I followed the whole guide till it stopped me at the 3.1.2 (for 3g) i downloaded it and it didn't let me downgrade.

Then I saw a comment of what he said about try using the 3.1.2 for the 2g fimware. (again use the link he gives you to download from)

Idk. maybe try skipping the itunes part, and if it doesn't work. use the one in the description
