Sometimes I get the feeling that Izzy would have been a more prominent personality in the band, but Axl kept him down. Axl rudely talked over Izzy in almost every interview these guys did. And Slash says that, to this day, Izzy won't work with a lead singer because dealing with Axl was such a pain.

Reading slashes book at the moment and he makes out that they "totaled" the set, just waiting until the show was over, because thats the kind of crazy folks they were and they take no shit from no-one. In the same paragraph he also slates the corporate nature of MTV. Doesn't mention the "totaling" was so staged nor on air. Makes me wonder about the rest of the hi-jinks in the book that he is "not proud of, but..."
