Does this camera have a macro mode? I mostly take videos of things within an inch or two of the lens.

Why do people say 1080p is "full HD" at 30FPS?

30FPS is not "Full HD"

It's impossible to find a Consumer Camcorder that records 1080p at 60FPS for under $300, but you can find many Camera with both 1080p at 30FPS and 720p at 60FPS.

So, Why the fuck aren't there any 60FPS 1080p Cameras?

If you're gonna go "Full HD", go Full fucking HD and record in the native Blu-Ray framerate with resolution!!

(But it does have good optics, color and it does good in low light for what it is)

Definitely seems nicer than the flip and seems to focus pretty close up. It would be great if it had optical image stabilization and was waterpoof, but I guess you can't have it all.

Am I the only one who thinks the HD video quality (at least of a close up shot) is horrid for HD? It's all blurry... You should be spending over $300 if you want something that does real HD video...

I recently got this for christmas in order to film my makeup tutorials. The quality is amazing and I love everything about it... except for one thing. Since i have a makeup channel and must often put makeup products up to camera in order to show their names. But when filming it will not auto focus onto the products name. It only auto focuses on camera mode and when its not filming. I dont know if im doing something wrong but i wish i would work!

The design isn't very attractive, but the functionality blows away the Flip or Kodak Zi8. 10 megapixel still shot, ability to take pics while recording a buil in flash AND quality dual microphones....wow.

I was turned off by it's ugly when I recieved it for Xmas but now I'm excited because its fun the red light dosnt come on so people don't know i'm recording it's like a spy phone. you can get away with more film in public. NOT that anyone should go filming strangers....

Can it be Sanyo got it right. They have been quietly releasing models that have not made much noise, this looks to be their possible breakout hit. I love the two separate mics, it's the only way to get a genuine 2 channel separation. It also has hard buttons in an elegant design, that's a plus.

@SirBootsalot bare in mind he said 1 hour of FULL HD recording. So you'd definitely get a lot more battery life from recording in SD or 720p :)
