Scott is mistaken. Yes, King Kong Brody preceded Nord The Barbarian but Nord was a funny guy on his own. Nord remains one of the most underrated pro wrestlers OAT.

I remember him teaming with Jake Roberts in UWF, maybe one of the best teams I've ever seen. There matches against Debiase and Dr. Death were GOLD. He got out of the biz way too soon.

Yes the Russian is Big Jim Lanning (Soldat Ustinov)and Nord edited that tape to make it look like he won the match. Notice he never pinned Lanning? Jim is a friend of mine and told me they were both counted out, outside the ring. Nord is a ripoff sissy boy..

Nord could of made a title shot matches good if had the chance back in the day of WWF and AWA of 1980s Probably the best title for him was WWF Intercontintial or NWA US Champ if had proper buildup
