Everybody in St Louis, some of us know,it was big for KWK 79-84,just as much as it was for K SHE and and everybody at K SHE knows in 81 and 82 KWK was number 1.....
For those of us fortunate to have lived in South Texas (San Antonio to the Rio Grande) during the 70s, we now know how spoiled we were by the fresh new rock bands that hit our air waves 24/7 (with Moxy being one of the best). Never could we have anticipated how bad radio would become when the corporate crappers invaded our air space with the garbage music they play these days. Glad to know St. Louis was also "tuned in" during the 70s! Viva San Antonio, Viva St. Louis, Viva Los Cardinals
@Ramslax26 hi, i grew up st. charles missouri listening to Kshe. I had a Pioneer supertuner in my 69 dodge coronet station wagon covered with bumper stickers. 1986, i even have a picture of the supertuner under my dash. Big huge dial.
@forrpets lol look at my comment on top i just said this super tuner with powerbooster/eq in my 71 nova with a 427 vette motor racing on gravois and linbergh...is this the kshe section?...lol look at all the kshe comments. STL was a great place to grow up in the 70s/80s no overan with lawless boogies
@Ramslax26 agreed a cruising gravois down hwy 30 with your buddies super tuner cranking and this and april wine cranking. terribly underartted i seen them play this at mississippi nights
ShoeiBoy and Bucky468 are both right. The main part of the song contains, what sounds like, "Over the Hills and Far Away", and about 2:20, you can definitely hear "Immigrant Song."
@ShoeiBoy I still think I'm hearing a copying of "Over The Hills And Far Away" from the beginning to the chorus. OK maybe there's a little bit of "Immigrant Song" included too. But anyway can't we both be entitled to our own opinions. BTW I'm no geezer. I'm probably younger than you. I don't think any teen or college age kid had ever heard of Moxy.
Hey in their defense, not all Canadian bands are like Loverboy and such. I actually grew up in Wichita Kansas when these guys were touring hardcore the Mid-West South. Me and buddies spent many evenings smoking and drinking jamming with these guys on hedge-row roads in middle Kansas and loved every minute of it. Canada gets a pass on this one eh!!!!!
K-SHE 95 was exactly the radio styation I grew up listening to and would love it when they would come off of a little MOXY. Haven't heard K-SHE mentioned in a long time. Thanks for the reminder.

Tommy Bolin made this album possible. Moxy should've left Bolin's guitar parts on the album.

@ShoeiBoy Wrong Zep song. Try "Over The Hills And Far Away"...still I like it quite a bit. Kicks ass a million miles!

@bucky468
Pish. That's not even close to the same riff. Same chord sequence maybe but that's it.
I'm talking about 2.18 minutes in.
Right after he sings "Sail On Sail Away" for the first time. Immigrant Song.
Jesus wept the geezer thinks I don't know the names of fucking Zeppelin tunes.

@bucky468 "But anyway can't we both be entitled to our own opinions."
Certainly. But if that's the case don't try and be a smartarse by telling other people they are wrong.
Because, as in this case, it might be you that's actually wrong, in which case you just end up looking like a dick.

KSHE just played it.
It's funny, about the only time KSHE ever sounds like it did in the old days is when they have a no repeat week.
