imagine roads like bricks,,ther concreted lines..all connect don't they....these are the roads....control the connecting areas.... ,draw a line to a dot then a line on top a t....shape....each dot is a control point on roads......one road may have a dead end guarded.....one road may loop ontop the side on a brick.....not connecting to other brick's.....complicated,erase when read for secure....................1para.....ww2 family member..
each square 1000 x 1000 needs 7 to 14 men within it...roads are blocks..but they loop into main exit roads joining into adjacent squares.....the key is too....have two men guard two roads, then one more to guard the roads that loop out of it......you need not cover everything............if you look at a map....seperate into grids...a few men can secure each grid......with checkpoints....patrolling is dangerous...5 roads may join onto a main road meaning there is one exit
people walking around are targets..........but if each suare has 14 men in it,,the walking targets our men are surrounded in safety by other men..........
the key is dropping in airbourne securing each map square....then exiting the airbourene and leaving good troops behind.....to guard the squares....imagine a city like m anchester united kingdom..divide into 5 suares each 1000 x 1000 meters on map.....they can't pass beetween squares then.....
THE TALIBAN ARE DIP SHIT'S FACT.. all you need to do is secure 1000 x 1000 metre squares......no patrols advised..............use checkpoints with big base camp attached....use old buildings and peoples homes...if you have soldiers outside it at checkpoints..its all good....
@KittyWigga The hearts on the helmet liner are from the 1\502. Thanks for your service. We painted them red in Vietnam. The 2/502 was and still is our sister battalion although in Vietnam they were in 1st Brigade and we were in 2nd Brigade. I don't know what emblem they used on their helmet liners. This started from WW 11.
Nice B-Roll Goodwin :) If you see this, I hope you're doing great over in Kalsu. It was pretty neat seeing your work on here, I found one of my stories too lol
