Hey I agree with you. It was something I threw together in an hour. It was never really intended to be a really in-depth proper test which is why it says "Quick and Dirty Hit Test".

np, I found it really helpful myself just to run through these tests. It gave me a better feel for the hitbox.  On the downside now that I know the hit reg is pretty good given a decent ping now I have to come up with a new excuse for when I die. =)

When a new FPS game comes out it's helpful to get an idea of how the hit detection and lag compensation mechanics work. Once you understand this it's easier to hit your targets.

There is no "iron sights" type view but you can scope in. When you are scoped in you see a black ring around the edge of the screen, regular crosshairs, + you get a zoomed view.

nice vid,and the invisble wall thing,i dunno,maybe the games reading it as a full blown object,some hits got through some didnt,like dents ina reguler wall or w/e...

The invisible wall thing is supposed to be fixed in retail. Hopefully I'll get a chance to verify it in the next day or two.

Not like you can in cod4 but there are destructible objects for example if someone is hiding behind a concrete barrier and you blast the barrier with a tank it will destroy the barrier and kill the guy behind it. It's pretty cool.
