I have been wearing marley hair for the last year but as a braid out...I thought that took a long time but this seems like it would take even longer lol. Nice job though...Marley Hair does take maintenance because it can get very dry...I always like your styles though! Keep up the good work!

Can u put two strand twists in ur hair with the extensions and then wrap the twists with hair intead of braiding?? Will tht work too?

@yocampout Hey. I actually didn't have much of a problem with unraveling but if one did unravel, I would simply twist and burn the ends again.

Just finished mine this morning. Took about 16-18 hrs. Used two & half bags of reg braids & 5.25 bags of Marley braids to wrap. Mine are a little stiff- did u experience that? If so how did u soften them? Thanks

@NadegeP1 Great! Yes. Dipping the lock in hot water will get rid of the stiffness.

@fhbklyn Yes, you should try the locs! I kept dandruff away by applying the Hydratherma Naturals hair growth oil to my scalp every few days. thx!

@fhbklyn I have yarn braids/genie locs in now and I spray aloe vera juice with a drop of tea tree oil onto my scalp once or twice a day to keep dandruff to a minimal. great for itching too

@Cortkneeee Yes, you can keep them in and the hair will mesh / loc with yours. You would just twist your new growth as it comes in.

Approximately how many sections did you braid then wrap? This is beautiful. For so long I've wanted to loc my hair and now, knowing that I can try the style, see how it looks and feels, protect my hair in the process and take them out just makes me more excited. wow it looks much more like dreads then the genie locs/ yarn braids :D i think i'll let someone else braid my hair and just do the wrapping myself...i'm wearing yarn briads now and it took me more then ten hrs bc i braid slow so i know doing all this will take me many many days but yes this is a very great idea, thank you

I love this style. I always wondered how I would look with locs but I was never willing to make such a huge commitment for a style I may not like. I am so thinking of taking this idea to a hairdresser for one of my winter protective styles. When you wash and deep condish, will you post a vid of you doing so? I would also love to see how you prep this style for sleep at night and in the morning before you start your day. Love all your vids/hair ideas!

@GypsieGoddess Me too. I always wondered how I would look with locs.lol. I actually don't sleep with a head wrap because all of my hair is covered and protected by the marley braid hair. The hubs likes the fact that I don't have to cover my hair at night. On wash day I apply the shampoo to my scalp and squeeze through 2 times in the shower. I then apply the dc my to my locs to where I think my hair ends. I dc and rinse in the shower again. I then air dry. This syle is very low maintanence :-)

@TheWmarie Hi! I will not touch them up. I will just twist my roots to keep them looking neat just like with regular locs. You can add more marley hair to the root if you wish :-)

@igcognitobeing In the video it said she took 8 hours to braid and 10 hours to wrap the locs but she also said she took alot of breaks but anyway it goes i think it would have took her about 11-14 hours for the whole job..she's really good

Thats really cute. Have u ever heard of genie kids done with yarn? Bc it would save u time to get the look of locs by cutting out the wrapping part of each braid.
