Seeds. Promote everyone storing and using seeds. When the depression hit in 1929 all of the seed companies went out of business. The next spring everyone rushed to find seeds and there was not enough to go around. Remind all that everything that is a whole grain or seed can be sprouted. Sprouting is cheap, fast and increases the food value by 800%. Do more with less. Clean water is the key. Do more vids and keep on promoting being prepared.

People will buy gas even if it was 5 dollars a gallon because the J.O.B. they have is nowhere near where they live. Some if not a lot of people drive 30-40 miles to their workplace just to live alittle above poverty.

Everything is going up in prices food, clothing, gas, even the lottery it used to be a dollar to play the powerball now it is two and three dollars they know people will want to chase the dream of an instant millionaire ticket out of their situation so they don't have no problems playing. The "elites" know even if they raised the gas to 5 dollars people will complain but they will still buy it because they love the luxury of a vehicle instead of riding a bike or bus.

That is why the government is pushing for gun control, they know wants the shit does and it will hit the fan, the more people that don't own guns is a heaven sent for them. Which means that if you don't own a gun their won't be much resistance to throw us in concentration camps. People look at what President Obama has done with signing that bill which eliminates the Bill of Rights.

I also watch the tv show but what raises questions to me is at the end after their "expert analysis" they give an odds report of the likeliness of that incident ever happening, what gets me is that they always claim that the odds of something like that happening is always a very low possibility, as if none of the claims mention will ever happen in a million years. I think the show is a tool the "Elites" use so as a "We gave them all warnings but they didn't listen" shit so, heed the warnings.

Good video. For all the people that think this will not come true, just look at Katrina and what happened down south. When there is a lack of food and water, all hell breaks loose and it gets nasty very quickly. When the power shuts down as well as the utilities and the shelves at the grocery stores go bare, look out. Desperate people will create mass panic.

Great comments! I was also wondering why some of the people weren't getting physically fit as well. How is lugging around exra weight and diabetes medication going to help? Or if the person can't run or lift or chop wood. I was also concerned that some of the groups were not considering the skill set of their members. You need engineers, dr/nurses ect. And safety in numbers is crucial. That first little hippie family would be slaughtered on day 2.

My parents thought I was crazy when I told them I was going to begin prepping, but after I reminded them about Egypt's seven years of plenty followed by seven years of famine (my stepfather is a pastor) they rethought their position. It's particularly odd to me that so many Christians I speak to go on about "God will provide" as if they don't need to do anything different than they've been doing. I suppose as they starve to death they'll convince themselves it was God's will that they die.

god dammit I survived one complete country meltownd during 1990s in ex Yugoslavia economic sanctions martial law civil war super hyper inflation...I really do not want to go trough all this shit again...we should think of preping to prevent this happening here instead of thinking small and preping just for ourselves and our immediate families because in the end number of hungry and desperate people will allways outnubmber those that are prepared

I'm slowly getting my fiancee on the same side as I'm on, being more prepared. He is a truck driver so he lives in his bubble most of the time. I've even made him carry things to be more prepared that he didn't have before. At first he thought I was crazy but let me be, now he's beginning to understand what I'm trying to do.

Excellent synopsis and commentary, Survivalgreen1. One angle that needs to be addressed is the lack of prepper women. I, for one, am searching for a wife who is proactively survival minded, but I have found these women to be far and few between. Many women believe that the preparedness mindset is paranoid, and do not regard men who hold those beliefs to be of sound mind. Folly, of course.

Even though the news does not give you everything there is enough information that anyone paying attention knows sometime is going wrong and a need to prepare is necessary. I can't image who could possibly say you are paranoid sir. Gold is off the chain at over $1800 and silver is creeping up. I took from the show that with foresight, planning, ingenuity and just plain work one cannot be caught completely unaware and empty-handed in case of a natural or man-made disaster, & that it will take all of our skills to succeed together. The most important words-to-the-wise were something to the effect that it will take days/weeks for the gubermints to respond vitally/fully to large catastrophe(s) and all of the ripples. Think Katrina, BP Spills, Japan, 9/11, Joplin...ppl, get ready!

That way if you lose the information, or lose your electricity, you don't have to worry about finding it on your computer. Very good thoughts on the show. I enjoyed it in general. But the first family, with the pool garden, I feel they hurt the image of the "prepper", fortifying some individuals beliefs preppers are "crazy". I look at it this way - modern humans HAVE expierienced nuclear horror's and many finacial collapses, but believing in prophecies of ancient people (mayan majoritive) who decapitated their own people believing it would please the gods and produce food and rain. That IS insanity.

They were actually living for the end, but I think they should not have been on television telling the world about their stock pile and if things were to go the way they think they are targets for the neighbors. The expert gave them good advice to get their neighbors involved and prepared. I do not believe the world is going to end 2012 but I do believe the country is unstable and we should have reserves.

Here are the facts if U can shelter in place if you have plenty water and food if you can fend off others then you can out live those that are not prepared. We know what happens when you run out of water you can last only so long with out water well if these people have enough and can survive the others and keep them out of their stock the prepared will be able to go to a fallback location once the bulk of the people have died. There will be cannibals they will be who U will fight last.
