It's fashion. The majority of these horses will never jump. They were bred for the fashion of the ring, and where there's a market, there's no problem with it as long as they don't have any major conformational flaws.
What the hell was that at the final lap 1:53 that was a park horse not a hunt horse..the two greay at the end were the best movers. yikes. that scared me
@Royalfriesians I agree, that definitely looked like a saddleseat horse... I thought they were supposed to look like they could take a jump in hunter pleasure?
@Prowinda I know, I show Arabs at the regional level, mainly in hunter pleasure and hunt seat equitation :) But I read in the AHA rules that hunter pleasure horses are supposed to have movement and conformation that would allow them to take a jump...
