2010 Nissan Cube vs Kia Soul - PC vs Mac Parody

Owned new generation Kia Rio, 2006....great compact car. Bought a 2011 Sorento, brilliant CUV. Just bought a 2012 Soul plus....suprising performance especially off the mark and getting onto the highway...even on uphill entry ramps. The Soul can appeal to younger and older buyers alike, style and function in the same package. I had two Nissans in the past, both good cars but the sheet metal is rolled really thin...you can cut it with a good pair of kitchen scissor, I did that to a Sunny once!

Nissan nailed it? In terms of bringing a kei car here, ok - but otherwise, not so much. For one, the headliner is cool, but can you get a sunroof? No. Heated leather? No. Also, a swing out rear gate......really? Plus no flat load floor. The 2012 Kia also has a 40 hp advantage while getting 5mpg more. (The 2010 had 20 more hp and 2 mpg more). Apple products are supposed to offer more features and function. You guys got it backwards.

Nissan is not even in the top ten on reliability at the Consumers report website and KIA is in there. I love my 2011 KIA Soul 4U and thats how i ended up buying my KIA Soul........ Price, Reliability, Style, Comfort ride, safety, and quality is what i saw on KIA Soul.

MUCH BETTER INTERIOR??? DUUDE! I looked over the Cube. The interior looks worse than some rental Cobalts I've driven. At least the base Soul has a pretty decent interior--though I'll grant you this--Kia's materials suck big time. We have a Rondo--trust, I know this. But the Nissan Cube S?? Fuggedaboutit. I'd go either Scion XB or Kia Soul for my money

Lol that would be quite a deal. My current plan to get one is wait 5 to 10 years until it is worth as much as a minivan and then pick one up. Trading a 15k Fit would be so much easier though. hmmm.....

Check out the Civic, Carolla, Fiesta, and Cooper if you want a good small car. All very efficient, reliable, safe, and not too expensive. Good luck with your search!!!

Both are hideous, underpowered, overpriced, toys that should get way better mileage. They built them for young people, who rejected them and then the only people who ended up buying them were middle aged people who are trying way too hard to be "hip". Having said that, the Kia is much better than the Scion or Nissan but all that is really saying is that it is the best of a group of gay piles of trash.

I'm sorry you feel that way, but that's the beauty of freedom of choice. I drive a 2010 Kia Soul, and love it. It's anything but overpriced seeing as for all the features I have, it's 2-3 grand cheaper then the closest competitor. I get 30MPG and am fine about that. Aren't all cars just big toys that require more responsibility and are built for adults? I'm a college student and bought mine before the start of Fall 09' so stop generalizing and pulling your facts out of air.

The most one-sided review I've ever seen - hardly a review at all, more like an ass-kissing for Nissan. I drive a Kia Soul and have NO complaints at all (other than that I can't bring it in the house with me at the end of the day!) - the Nissan Cube looks like a Japanese abortion and I always laugh and point when I pass one on the road.

LOL, i'd rather take the Nissan cube, cuz it's built stronger. Also nissan recently updated their warranty on the tranny. it's now 200,000 10 year warranty on their CVT transmissions. also if u look into crash tests by kia, they have a history of building not very strong cars.. kia stands for (Killed In Action).. have fun with ur kia soul!

Cube sucks...and I use to work for Nissan.

I own a Soul and it rocks hard..and fyi..KIA is the 4th largest manufacturer in the world..Nissan is 7th on the list.

The Soul is 3 grand cheaper, with more HP, better waranty, more gadgets, better utility, better handling (ex Audi guy designed it), best braking in segment. And I don't care what you losers say, it looks awesome...people ask me about it all the time....and it's all good!

What's your source? Besides, I'm talking about the Kia Automotive Brand ALONE. Not the Hyundai-Kia Corporation. And the Nissan Cube is much more unique in styling, it's what makes the cube different to others. The Kia Soul looks nothing more than an ordinary city car.

I have to drive the cube for work ever now and then. yea it rides nice and all that but it has absolutely no passing power at all and it feels like it can tip over in some turns.
