Love your drum lessons.....you have helped me alot....keep up the great video's & don't listen to the people with the bad comments....you are a great teacher
Man, you are so helpful! I've watched several of your videos and they have been some of the most helpful drum lessons I've seen online! Thank you so much!
dude thanks for the tip that is very true it is your idea? your a genius :Pill practice that its awsome man its a good way to learn how to control your beats
aw dude your awesome i watched your videos and all of them tought me so i personaly dont know what people are complaining about thank you (talking off my moms acount lol)
Friendly advise=)i always found keeping it slow and stedy sumtims better & having & teaching some nowlag of bars, crochets, quavers etc. can help and counting in the traditional sense of 1+2+3+4+ for a 4/4 beat isnt hard to learn but is a good help hope i helped and i dont mean to be pushy n aragent
hey man cool i'm begining to play my child drums 38yrs alway dreamt to be musician it's in me i think the flow thank you verry much my frien for these tips anyway see ya !
dude i owe you evrything!!! ur the best!!! tnx for the videos hope you have more to teach us...id like to request: nxt tutorial id like a canon-rick-style-tutorial....tnxx...keep rocking!!!
yeah, I call it something different than pyramid drumming, but making something very simple to more and more complex and then bringing it down again is one of my FAVORITE things to do while I practice. Check out my vids man. Liked the vid.
haha wow i love your style :D very original and helpful. Seriously though, your teaching style rules, you remind me very much of my tutor at school: completely mad, quirky, funny yet somehow you actually manage to learn something... Keep it up and good luck with some skins haha ;D
dude idont no u, but liek honestly, ur video helped, and thats all i need, thanks man, id send u money for new skins if i had money to buy some for myself, but yah hahahaha kk well thanks again, keep up the good work maybee u can show some different type of beats.
Your right a great coach or teacher does not have to be a great player in music or sports.
You are a super teacher, as far as format goes the drummer is the leader AND the follower, he leads in, leads out, and keeps the motor running in the middle, fills ,innovates, all the while staying consistent and adapts to a free flowing live jam all in one song.
The crash doesn't move alone. He's touching it with his shoulder... I have to admit that the perspective is totally strange.. watch the first few seconds... when he is hitting his snare he obviously is too far away to do so.. I was going "?????" when I saw it..
Im a drummer also. Ive check all around youtube and I must admit, your straight forward and to the point. None of the confusing paradiddles n stuff which confuse people and make it look 5 times as hard!
Drumming is simply counting. However, I can only count to four so far! Anyway, Johnathan, you are way above average, me friend. Your passion for teaching way outshines any technical skills to be had, but also, I think you are a good drummer, too. Tell your daughter she did a bang-up job on her drum video! Cheers.
I've always wanted to play the drums as well as DJ...but both are to damn expensive to buy. I could probably find a used drum set around here, but definitely no DJ turntables or anything...oh well, I still like watching your vids.
Thanks man ive learned alot from you.
