this is perfection! why listen to sad crap-music when u can enjoy this and get just as happy as the band on stage. there is enough crap in the world as it is! amen.
AWESOME melodic, hard glam-rock! One of my fave songs by DD. KILLER vocals (VERY hard to sing in Ted's register) and guitar!! Most importantly: HARD, KILLER HOOKS!!
Fuck yeah. '76 Camaro, '78 Trans Am (with t-tops), and a set of MTX 12s in the back seat. Good times those were...nothin' I wouldn't give to go back right now, no matter the cost.
i love it i love it i love it i love it i love it i love it i love it i love it i love it i love it i love it i love it i love it i love it i love it i love it i love it i love it i love it i love it i love it i love it i love it i love it
I never knew there was a video for this song! I also can't believe they included Ginger Snaps at the beginning. (That's Ginger Lynn doing all the moaning during the opening.) This kicks ass. Saw Danger Danger at a free show at Courthouse Square in Dayton back in '90. Awesome show, great guys. Cheers.
There is alot of songs that this relates to: It has the same name as a Skid Row song, it sounds like Crazy Nights by Kiss, and the chorus sounds like a Motley Crues song. Its still an awesome band and an awesome song.
which Crue song do you reckon it sounds like? And this came before the Skid Row 'Monkey Business'. Anyway, no-one could ever accuse hair metal bands of being lyrically innovative, what they did do (and still do) is ROCK. Screw it by these guys is a sweet, sweet album, not a bad song at all.
becuz glam was still popular up until '91 , DD must of had bad managment. thats all there is to it, and also its not like they wernt big, they were big but jus didnt following through like some others
Seen these guys in concert there awesome still to the day. If you want to just have a good time and say f..k the world put on a danger danger record. There music is just a good time any way you look at it.
The 80's were indeed awesome as was this tune but wasn't this one of the post-grunge 1991/92 hair tunes from the era were they probably should've known better...
BLAH BLAH BLAH A good song is a good song and oppinions vary. I don't set my likes and dislikes by "titles". If I like a song it's simply because I like it and I don't really care what other people think.
1991's follow up 'Screw It' possesed neither the AOR element or melody of the debut, and died among many other fading hard rock bands in that horrible period - cock rock cliché for sure.
Journey is AOR but neither Dokken or 220 Volt is AOR (okay 220 Volt had some few ballads with AOR element like Lorraine and Love Is All You Need). When you have keys in every song on the album and the lyrics is all about love and passion then you have found AOR/melodic rock. AOR can be lighter (Survivor, Journey, Foreigner, REO Speedwagon, Fortune) or heavier (Treat, Alien, Dalton, Danger Danger's debut, Bon Jovi's Slippery When Wet, De Mont - Body Language, etc, etc)...
No, Great White is only hard rock with bluesy elements. AOR is keyboards oriented rock but it stands for album oriented rock or arena oriented rock. AOR was a commercial hit of the mid/late 80's and died when Nirvana took over the world in the early 90's. Scandinavia was the home of AOR/melodic rock because more people there listened to AOR/melodic rock than American cock rock. AOR/melodic rock bands in America had a hard time when Mötley Crüe and Poison dominated the chartz.
Glam rock is bands like Poison, early Shotgun Messiah, Tigertailz, Hanoi Rocks, etc, etc.
I'm not a bigger fan of sleaze rock because I get sick of all acoustic guitar songs and bluesy guitar solos. But it's better than any cock rock or commercial boring hair metal like Screw it! by D2.
When did AOR/melodic rock become pop? Their first album was an AOR killer classic. But their follow up album was filled with Warrant wannabe songs. That wasn't Danger Danger IMO.
