  • Clean, safe, and good health system........and quite possibly the most boring sterile place on earth!

  • Yeah, why did so many of it's citizens leave in disgust?

  • Oh man, just lower the average temperature by at least 15 degrees (centigrade) and it'd be perfect!!

  • i came close to living there for my dad's business but he decided to stay here...

:( i wanna go to singapore SO frickin' bad!!!!!!

  • What is the song? But this one not original. I heard it in my youth about 30 years ago. Fortunatelly time is...time

  • You won't find people from different cultures segregating each other here, as one might find in other countries. If you've someone you love being killed or 'used' by the druglords - won't you think it's necessary to keep drugs out of your country, unless it is meant to heal? If you've a child being addicted to drugs which he/she bought from his/her school/neighborhood...don't you think that the law should intervene in keeping your neighborhood safe? I sleep in peace and soundly at night, do you?

  • Nice song and the video is cool too .. Would love to travel to SG:D

  • everyting is great in SG but is way too populated wish i live some where else tho besides SG's neighbourin countries :P

  • ya singapore create robots..with no sense of life..I feel different when im at australia..and when i went back to singapore, i felt like im home but the next day i felt like going back to australia..eventhough im a singaporean not those foreigners..give birth too much until their country cant control the over population..haiz..Seriously im gonna travel alot when im done with the hell alot of studies singapore gave me..then cacau my sweet singapore!!..

  • singapore only a picture of a nice place but reality is totally different..poeple suicide cause they lives like robot...im resident here

  • I lived in Singapore for 10 years and I miss the food...those glorious food!

  • i wanna live in singapore too ^^

  • I've been to Singapore three times. If they really want to be a good nation-state, they have to halt the military draft and clean up its human rights record.

  • True, there are so many problems with Singapore.

  • @Idude893 Absolutely correct! It is the human rights abuse issues that the world sees as the reputation for Singapore. On the one hand the government wants to "embrace" the west, on the other hand international law is blatantly and flagrantly disregarded. If Singapore truly wants to be first world then they need to STOP acting as a third world country. They can start with changing draconian laws and lstopping legalized Torture!

  • @butterflye2020 Speaking as a singaporean, the reason why we are one of the safest countries in the world is because of our laws that ensure social security. How many countries can boast the fact that people can walk out late at night without worrying about getting robbed or murdered. Sure, low crime means no crime, but technically, we are better than america in terms of law and order(no offence, if anyone here is from america)

  • I love singapore. Been there twice.

We Indians are facing all sorts of bad things in our routine life in India - bad atmosphere, bad sanitation, mad traffic, bad roads, bad attitude of people, bad politicians, bad economy, bad hygeine, bad quality of life, bad and high crime rate, off-late high amount of terrorists activities. Nothing is good in India -

I love Singapore. Though I do not know about people's attitude, but the other bad things are not in Singapore. - My Choice...

  • @rangy8888 i am a singaporean and i am a nice one. but insane at the same time

  • SM2

  • A small country like us cant afford to let go many things. That would causes social disorder and ecomonic disaster. If we cant handle our own people, how could we handle foreigners in our country? Of course it is barbaric method but would that is a good threat to reduce crime/ less initiate crime in our country? if we are not doing this. Most of the fund /time wouldnt go to developing country but chase and run after criminals. Am I right?

  • Oh man I wish I lived in Singapore so badly! I'm full British and I'd much rather live in Singapore - I've been there twice and I know I'd be happier going out on my own at night in Singapore than in some English cities

  • Lol, you may think this way when you are VISTING Singapore, you see. BUT if you STAY here for a long time, I bet you will want to go back to Britain. The houses are so crammed and the whole scenery is blocked by damn HDB Flats, it seems like there's no nature. It'll be worse if your parents or other family members get influenced by Singaporean mothers. Trust me I'm a Singaporean.

  • Lol, maybe but the houses are very crammed together here too and I can see only one tree from my window! It's very ugly but it's also cold and grey. :( Yeah I could go out of the city and into the countryside to see nature but then in Singapore I could do the same. What about the rain forest in the middle of Singapore? - apart from the massive ants! :D

  • Like you said, singapore only has miserable rainforests... and you know, it's more appropriate to call them bunches of trees... or maybe simply just extra small forests lol. At least in Britain there are four seasons and Singapore is so damn hot, not even warm(!) now. If you want to stay near nature in singapore, only nature reserves and sentosa are some places you should visit.

  • i would rather live in a sunny place, without unpredictable weather,UK weather stinks.rain sleet snow hail or plain old miserable skies with the occasional 10 days a year sunshine,Of which brits complain of a heat wave.and, singapore didnt rely on exploitation of others for its success, but that's a story for another day.

  • Anyway, I just realised what's the problem: If you live in the same old crappy city/country, you will start to want to live overseas.

  • @freddyfrogish That's funny because i have always wanted to go to the UK.

  • @freddyfrogish I want to visit the UK

  • Yeh it's they greyness of life in Britain which is so hard to get on with. Singapore has glorious, glorious weather. It makes such a difference to quality of life.

  • Are there many Brit Bosses in Singapore also?..I'm planning to move there, but worried that I couldn't find English boss as great as my current boss here in UAE..I liked working with English people, I find them very professional and broad minded.

  • @SuperCrabbygirl It's possible, even though i am a student and don't really know much. I am sure that there are British bosses in singapore. I have a British lecturer though.

  • @kougrina08 Speaking as a singaporean, it really is safe to go out at night, Even at 10 or 11 o'clock pm, you can go to the mart and buy stuff without worrying about getting robbed or anything else for that matter.

  • @kougrina08 i wish you good luck coming here =3 its amazing and fun. infact the theme park is complete!! Yes!! And i hope no teenagers spit on you :D

  • @kougrina08 true man i agree with you, england's too violent, specially london.

  • An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. i dont think you'll say the same if your mom was raped. Caning the crooks, for what its worth, gave singapore one of the lowest crime rates in the world. i'm thankful to live such a safe country. And you would rather not punish criminals for their actions and risk putting more innocent victims in harms way. You my friend, are definitely uncivilized!

  • I will never go to that horrible country. They cane people there!

  • The law is the law.

  • the law is a ass, a idiot!

  • so what?! stop being a pussy

  • It is not that scary actually. It is better that we cane than to have the crime rates prevailing in the US.

  • I would never sacrifice my freedom for a preceved sense of safety.

  • hope you get yo ass bursted by a drive-by... so much for freedom

  • Even if I was, I would still have mercy for those who victimized me. I guess that makes me a better person than you.

  • we cane the crooks to make it safe for everyone... so you afraid to come becoz you're one of them?

  • I am a peaceful, gentle, law abiding person, and it did not take the threat of torture to make me so!

  • then why are you afraid of getting your ass whooped? haha. trying to be a buddha now doesn't augment your position. it'll only make you look like a hypocrite.

  • Have you never heard of people being falsely accused of crimes? Even if noting were to happen to me on a hypothetical trip to Singapore (even if I were treated like a king there) I would never give any support to a nation that revels in and celebrates such a barbaric and blood thirsty practice. You people will have to become civilized before I would ever consent to visit you!

  • being civilized is to have law and order. we punish the bad to protect the good. prevent crimes that will save many lives. you on the other hand seems to advocate evil and chaos. its almost like tearing down the Pearly Gates.

  • Crime can only be fought by attacking its root causes. Poverty, Ignorance, and lack of opportunities. What your country does is nothing more than rejoicing in sadism.

  • you are not fit to criticize as you do not know the history and situation of our country. just 40 years ago we were a poverty stricken country with high unemployment. There was disorder. for us to prosper we need economic development n foreign investments to create jobs for the people. enforcing the laws, which were mostly inherited from British, was THE way to attack THE ROOT CAUSES. creating a safe and stable society that will attract huge Multinational companies to set up their plants here!

  • If your country is that addicted to cruel and unusual punishment then it would be best if you were left in isolation by the civilized nations of the world.

  • of course that would be your point of view. the fact that its not isolated yet embraced by the international community speaks volumes. oh... by the way your last name happen to be FAY? lol hope you like the souvenirs from us.

  • You are making light of what happened to Michael Fay? How can you be so wicked as to rejoice in the suffering of your fellow man?

  • Our island is only half the size of NYC and very swampy with no oil. we dont even have sand! so FDI was the only way to go. This is winning formula. 5th in GDP(PPP) per capita in the world, higher than most of europe, is a Testament to our success. YOUR ideals do not work in OUR situation. If you eat bananas doesnt give you the right to say that everyone in the world should. anyway is this asia and you haven't got a clue about our value systems. so stop making a fool out of yourself

  • Are you even aware that not all Asian nations practice judicial corporal punishment. Talk about ignorance.

  • not all birds can fly. not all humans have brains. you're one good example of this.

  • Dude, u from the US?

  • Have you tried local foods? If so which ones did u like? =)

  • yeah, have tried a lot. well, hokkian fried prawn noodle is very nice.

  • racist!

  • u will end up one

    in fact

  • stay where you are, otherwise you'll end up looking like a zombie.

  • Do you think I should move to SG too ?! Hmmm ...

  • our nice memory

  • cool.
