@ratedcrits cos it's a polygon object. In the description he mention using xplode or thrausi plug-in. to-fix: cre8 a spline text (w/ ur desire text), put it in an extrude NURBS, make it editable (shortkey C), bring the two children outside, select both children and the former parent, right click go down till you see "connect and delete" and click it, now you have a polygon object. Then here you can use the xplode or thrausi to break it. Good luck!

@ratedcrits Serch for thrausi plugin tutorial. It will teach you how you can meka it another character. But the reason why the O cant be changed is beacause it has been adden an effect to it. That also makes it impossible to edit.
