What is most likely going to happen when you make a new family or switch families etc..., is you would probably have the Sims 2 select a family screen maybe a little pimped out...select the family you want to play as and only play as them. the "x" probably hasn't moved out yet.

They'll probably release it for the 360 and PS3 in a year or so, after it comes out. It won't be as good as the PC version.(the others weren't) But it'll come eventually, EA won't pass up a chance to make money.

Mate chill out, what I think your trying to say is that The Sims 3 (Retail version) won't feature seasons like the expansion for The Sims 2 added. But I'm pretty sure we will see an expansion of it sometime.

How do they know what they might create in expansions in the years to come.

sims 3 does seem cool and all but it might dissapoint me in many ways:

1. i dont see a int of pets, does this mean we have to wait another year or two AGAIN to have our sims own pets, own a business, go on vacation, ect. like we had to on sims 2?

2. the graphics, camera views, ect. dont seem to be a huge upgrade from sims 2

3. with the whole neighborhood thing going on it looks like even a newer computer will perform slow with this game!

these are the reasons im waiting at least a year.

you can only play with one household at a time during the niehgboorhood if u want to play a new household you would have to make a new folder or w/e and start the neighboorhood again

no, not all of what you said is true. You do only have to play with one household at a time, but you don't have to make a new folder and start the game all over again! You just click out of the family you are playing at the moment, and play another one. But your other families will still live their lives so don't be surprised if you go back to your old family and they had kids and mom and dad died lol

The ONLY thing that bugs me is the fact that it's quite similar to The Sims 2. The jump from The Sims 1 to The Sims 2 was literally huge, but in this one it seems they've only really upgraded 2. And I'm not sure about the whole town thing. I'll probably grow to love it. Though the game does look fantastic and I cannot wait to get it. But no Sims game will ever beat the orginal and the expansions to that!

I think the jump is comparable. The Sims in TS2 are so shallow, in comparison... Now they have dynamic personalities and realistic aspirations in life, not to mention increased physical customization.

Also, the open neighbourhood is going to be really wonderful.

Although it doesn't seem to be as big a jump, it's really going to hone, perfect and give a lot of humanity to the Sims world.

My my, the people involved in making this game wont be pleased with you Stewie. You've literally just pulled out one thing new about this game. What about the graphics, interactions and house customization? It's all too similar to the Sims 2 IMO. Whereas almost all factors were new from the jump from 1 to 2. If I look at this game it's like looking at an updated version of the Sims 2 without the glitchy side-effects. I'll love it though =]

It is not really that similar. The graphics are tad bit better, not really. But, you can go into town, less loading time, your sims can have more characteristics and actually be unique, there is create a style mode, there are now little moodlet things instead of the hunger, energy, etc. I also read in another one of your comments about house customization. House customization is different in this one. Also, everyone else ages at the same time. Really the only jump from sims 1 to 2 was quality.
