@jumpthenoob depends where you are. There is no hunting pressure for about 70 miles in any direction there and there are so many damn ducks it really doesn't matter what you shoot. Jumpshooting is fun and i don't see much wrong with it. Better than skybusting. I usually hunt public refuges though.
@uraliar1 I agree, decoying birds is much more fun. I'm just saying jump shooting is also a blast. I'd rather decoy birds than jump em. On the other hand, if you're there just plinkin ground squirrels, and rabbits with a .223 why not?
nice video, love shootin the green heads!! couple weeks ago we were hunting this canal and saw a group of about 8 ducks right before this bend so we got out of the truck and went down into the field so we could sneak up on em,we came up just after the bend and when we came up over top to take them we ended up coming over top of at least 200 green heads we ended up killin 12 of em,it was such a rush with all them birds flying up
sweet, next time turn that hole into an unbelieveable hunt!! Instead of shooting them then and there, hunt them there the next morning and shoot a limit over decoys!! Or when you flush them, let them go without shooting. Throw out a dozen decoys and just wait. Most of em will come back over the next 2 hours!! It works, try it!!
best way to get greenheads: jumpshooting! i got a limit from four ponds with 12 shots, well not all green heads 4 were hens
