The jasper model of 360 doesn't require any intercooler like the older models would! the actual jasper board is built differently and a lot better than the other models and because of that it doesn't see the RROD, i mean anything is possible but with this 360 it runs WAYWAY cooler than the 20GB or the older elites! so really i would never use that intercooler on mine at all, and plus it voids any warranty you would have with microsoft!

@matrixownz i agree they do help.....on the older model of 360. With this model of 360 it has a jasper board in it, which basically makes the intercooler obsolete! you dont need them anymore since this model of 360 doesn't even get close to how the other one heated up, so it is a waste of money and warranty on your system.

the Xbox wont break. Its actually helping it. the intercooler that he is using is the TS which uses a separate power other than the EX that draws power from the Xbox and causes the system to fail. Al though i don't know why he is using it on a jasper. Its only necessary is you have the older versions such as the Falcon model.

I don't see why you have an intercooler on the jasper elite. My jasper doesn't even run hot at all, most of the time after 4-5 hrs of gaming, it's just warm. I can see buying an intercooler of you have an older model 360 but not a brand new jasper.

Actually the new Xbox 360s don't need the Intercooler. They have new hardware. My Elite has never gotten hot sense I brought it (March 2009).

The jasper is in the New Arcade, and ONLY in the RED elite, the Resident Evil 5 Limited Edition ELITE's. the regular black ELITE's still got Falcon, better buy an Arcade and upgrade to 120GB HDD. Unless u wanna spend the extra money for the Red ELITE.

@smashmen dude any xbox can get the red rings even if it is the elite, the only difference is the motherboard, the newer elites like this resident evil and all other limited edition console come with the newest jasper boar, with stay cooler then the falcon opus, zephyr and xenon. but it can still get it none-the-less. i would recommend doing the the 12 volt fan mod to disc drive and the heat-sink mod used for after the red rings.

Hello my brother and I just purchased an XBOX 360 Elite Limited Edition Red Console with RE5. I remeber the clerk said it comes with 2 fans our something and so I didn't get the cooler. all new RE Limit eddition xbox360 has the jasper chipsets. you don't need a intercooler. you're wasting power using that. it uses 150wats of power so it won't overheat your system. i had a friend using the intercooler. it was creating more problems then it was fixing.
