I have always looked twice for bikers but interstates these days are very unsafe. You have to look with the side mirrors to avoid getting into accidents and lucky avoid getting killed yourself. Highways have twice as many people driving today. Motorcycles are ok down country roads or suburb neighborhoods but not on busy highways with tractor trailers and fast moving vehicles.
Na, bikers just need to do wheelies to draw attention more. :) But seriously all biker need to act like no one see's them, because we have whats called blind spots in cars and we really DONT see you. But you lucky I'm still young and have my hearing to know your there.

There wasn't a motorcycle the first and only time he looked; that's the point of the ad. It's hard to judge the bike's speed and distance even if they ARE seen. Humans are predatory animals and they sight on movement; riders don't provide much in the way of something for a car driver to sight on. THAT'S why it is so important for driver to look twice. I'm a rider and I never trust that I've been seen. I survived a wreck I shouldn't have because I trusted I'd been seen.

As far as the motorcycle not being there in the 1st segment, completely irrevelant. Drivers should be scanning the road proir to coming to a junction anyways for bicyclists, pedestrians, and of course TRAFFIC!

As far as cyclists make yourselfs seen. I flash my Hi-Beam before "lane-sharing" w/ a car, so i know he sees me, then they move. Everyone is to blame though.

1) didnt weave in and out of traffic
2) obeyed speed limits

Jeez people, this happens for real everyday and way too often!! It is not about whether the bike was there in the first shot, the point is that you may not see him if you do not look thoroughly. Be aware when you drive!! No more "I didn't see him" b.s. excuses. Cars do not own the road, and it is not the biker's duty to stop for you, or to swerve around in order to avoid you! If you pull out directly in front of a moving vehicle, no matter what it is, it can be your fault for not looking!

The advert's has no bike in the first recording at all, they didn't even bother to put the low beam in, the second clip has with the low beam there, easy to see, advert gets point accross but editing is shaby (erm woman in white coat on path, there and not there, angles differ would have though goverment would put together somthing thats alright if its going to be watched close)
