  • this is so funny, i must add it to favorites

  • @2008marian yeah i know, so much opportunity to collaborate on an idea that would benefit a lot of people if we figured out how to make it work, and no one takes the time to read the vid description. or did you mean the really pathetic graphics? :P

  • hey mike your idea will work if you use solar energy to heat water that will make

it rise in a lupe pipe configuration, the rising water will push water into the cooler side and a continues circulation will insue, i am currently wrking on this concept, my research brought me here, i will sebd you a video that shows you what i mean

  • i guess u hav a point. there r some things about it that might work i guess, its good 2 get people thinking maybe u mght even say 2 yourself hey i could make that work.i guess u have a pretty good thery. good for u 2 put yourself out there like that! :) :)

  • @olson11m thanks :)

  • this is dumb and it will never work sory :(

  • @olson11m dont be sorry,i know it doesnt work, but i actually WANT people to discuss its obvious faults, and hopefuly offer a solution how to make it work. then maybe then someday, some youtuber like yourself would read all the comments and say to themselves' hey i could make that work!', and then come up with an idea.so you see, the solution doesnt have to come from me, i just want to see it happen. peace :)

  • This design will not work while below the water level of the ocean or river.

  • @kirkjohnson212 on that note was thinking that the oceans waves could be used to power a pump so that the water would be able to circulate thru the system. thanks for commenting

  • i know it doesnt work, the point of the vid is to get people(like yourself) thinking of how to actually make it work. thanks for contributing. :)

  • I'm guessing youre young and/or havent learned much about science yet. The column will fill with water (either from the top, the bottom, or both). The water inside the column at the bottom will be at the same pressure as the water outside resulting in an equilibrium and consequently no pressure to drive the turbine. You can test this yourself with a model and a fish tank. Youre simply digging a hole and filling it with water, there is no energy to be gained, only lost.

  • retard

  • @lp000028 lol! your blocked :P

  • sorry but it will not work, cos the pressure from behind will ether flow uppward or make too much resistance for the water to flow out on the bottom.

  • @Guds777 i know :)

  • Almost dumb idea, as you are American .......go to elementary school again...you missed basic physics lessons...

  • @nikolazemun you obviously dont read much, do you? because if you did you would have noticed that i said it doesnt work. and your missing the point anyways. the point of this is to figure out how to make it work collectively. you know, thru an exchange of ideas? that isn't a foreign concept is it?(pardon the pun) and by the way i dont care if you think im just some dumb american. it could be worse. at least im not some ignorant racist piece of ca ca. have a nice day :)

  • @ChemicalMikeUK Racist????? Unbelievable...... No comment.... I can be everything but not that.... But I understand your problem... If you are colored or...what ever... You invented racism in US.....and it is hard for you to accept that the rest of the world is not so disturbed and obsessed about peoples color of the skin... or their origin....Best regards from me...

  • @nikolazemun the fact that you blame america for inventing racism just proved how ignorant you are being.i think you should read a history book.it might enlighten you.and i'm assuming that you aren't american, but yet here YOU are, making bigoted comments.try to be less hypocritical in the future, and learn more of the facts before you spew your ignorant views, because your only making yourself look really dumb.

p.s.- DISCUSS RACE ISSUES SOMEWHERE ELSE OR YOU WILL BE BLOCKED.thanks

  • if don't think this will work

won't water come through the bottom, into the tube

reaching equilibrium from the atmosphere P

    or did i miss something : /

    even when water fell in,

won't the pressure of the ocean be greater than the turbine!?!?

  • @social3ngin33rin thanks for commenting. i know it doesnt work, but with a bit if innovation(perhaps from someone else) the bugs could be worked out, and it would be a practical form of energy. but for now its just an idea. :)

  • @ChemicalMikeUK

Not to knock you or anything...

Well actually, yeah just to knock you

when your so called "bug" is worked out and the water isn't allowed equilibrium the damn system you thought of is called a hydro electric dam numnuts.

It doesn't need any kind of perfecting it's been around for centuries, In fact even beavers can make a dam.

Go back to school, Eat books, shit books

  • @Cityj0hn Well not to knock you.., or anything, i already said it DOESN'T work.. DUH!!! loved your comment though, it made my day to see someone out there taking their bad hair day out on some complete stranger. i bet you make lots of friends! have a nice day now ! :P

  • @ChemicalMikeUK

I agree I do come on a little strong.

  • @Cityj0hn its cool. no harm done. peace :)

  • Dear Mike,

When the pipe fills with water, that's the end.

The only way this will work is if your pipe has an elevated lip on it so that the waves splash over the lip and then the weight of the caught water could push a generator as it falls to ocean level.

You don't need a pipe the the bottom to do this. All U need is a floating platform that is ancored so the waves don't wash it away. A guide to funnel the most water possible and a ramp to elevate the kenetic water into the elevated vessel

  • water seeks it's own level.

  • Comment removed

  • @SuperRonArt yeah its got its flaws. and its probably not the best idea either.but if could work if the bugs were worked out. :)

  • thanks for commenting. i would reply but the translators i used were rubbish. :)

  • will not work because once the tube fills it again to turn the water pump is used to send her away, and eventually you have to spend working to raise the water you entered to create enerigia, then the energy that is accumili spending to regenerate the tube... sorry!

  • if the water went up instead of down, it might be a more usable idea. but for now, it needs perfecting. :)

  • A Stupid Idea !

  • do you mean a stupid idea i the sense that it needs improvement, or stupid in the sense that you didn't understand it?

  • All the great ideas will not work !

  • All ideas star out as just an idea..............Remember the presure on the seabottom wouldn´t allow your concept to work because the presure below is greater than the one one the surface. So water will be pushing in from the bottom. by the way your idea is already fact in some ways cause this is the way Hydroelectrics work.

Keep on trying. You should maintain your design and try something with water pressure.

    Good luck Mike.

    Ps just keep trying!!!!

  • heres a thought.., what if the pressure from deep at the bottom of the sea was allowed to spit upward thru the pipe instead? the pipe would be a type of syphon and could have the energy collecting propellors within it? peace :)

  • not gonna work, but if u turn it around ?

verygood comment of ugotpimp is true about harnessing water movement.

  • hi soshka69, ya know, i didnt think of that, and that would definitely resolve the water pressure issue which is the main reason why this would not work. your idea also makes me wonder if some type of platform on the surface of the water would be a better solution than whats on the vid. thanks for the comment. peace :)

  • what about basic turbines underwater that move from ocean waves and/or tides?

it seems it would capture much more water movement and be less obtrusive to surface vessels.

to not harness the limitless energy of the ocean water motion is a crime that helps perpetuate the fallacy of scarcity of energy forcing us to pay too much for fossil fuels

  • hi ugotpimp,

yeah your probably right, plus turbines would not have a need fort a pump which takes energy to run. nevermind eh? its just an idea. thanks for commenting . peace :)

  • it flow high to low pressure, you seem to have it go low to high, which wouldn't work.

  • where does the water go when it enters from the top?

it goes down the tube, turns the turbine, then you have it leaving into the bottom of the ocean, but the pressure at the bottom of the ocen is too great, yuo cant just let it flow into it, you would need to force it, which would cost energy, prolly more then you would create

  • hi kouga66,thanks for commenting.yeah your probably right.the only way i see around it is a very powerful pump.but the same problems would still exist;the water would still be squirted into the ocean, which would be like filling a 2liter bottle with a hosepipe at full blast, and relying on a pinhole as the outlet hole.hopfully with the right design the water going down the tube would slow down enough via rotors & valves inside the input tube to combat this issue.just a theory. peace :)
