Great. Another credibility-challenged, nondescript know-it-all. Do you not realize that anyone who looks can see right through your sorry schtick, or is it that you just don't care? Do the homework, genius. Massachusetts is not single payer. It's the state version of the national scam that's just been rammed down our throats by a wholly owned president and Congress, served up with all the feel-good BS, but with the hidden focus remaining on boosting the profit margins of their corporate pimps.
Single payer eliminates the need for a health insurance industry that exists solely to profit at the expense of peoples' health, and in many cases, their lives. It forces the people we send to Washington to actually work for and be accountable to US, instead of the insurance pimps who fill their campaign coffers. But supporting it is supporting the paradigm? Sorry, I can't see how. I appreciate you featuring my new vid on your channel, but I guess we see this one differently. What would you do?
In a perfect world where our elected representatives worked for us then single payer might work.
The system must be reinvented and current beliefs must be discarded. Starting with the fact that insurance does not equal health care.
It must be a totally free market system with no insurance or government middleman. If one cannot afford the service then they may use credit. Insurance and government programs do not follow the basic free market business cycle and costs inflate.
He just said that he supports stealing from one person to give to another? That he supports providing services at the barrel of a gun? That he supports big government because the majority who participated in a poll say it's ok? I guess that makes all the violence we finance ok. Thanks for taking that burden off our shoulders.... Not.
You are, as I and everyone else that participates in our government, guilty up to our teeth in all the death provided by it.
Please. Nobody who cares about a real healthcare solution is buying that self-righteous elitist crap. This is about putting the focus on people instead of profit and covering everybody. It's an effort to END the stealing that's ALREADY HAPPENING, and actually delivering what we're already paying for. It's not big government. It's people standing up to demand that the government work for US instead of the fascist machine. Can you grasp the concept of the greater good? Do you have a soul? Wake up.
"It's an effort to END the stealing that's ALREADY HAPPENING,"
No, it's not. It is your effort to direct the flow of the stealing to your advantage instead of someone you don't like. You admit it is stealing. You sir, are a voluntary thief? Where is your sense of personal responsibility and accountability? How about addressing the crime and not who should benefit from it.
The crime is corporate profits at the expense of peoples' health, and even their lives. It happens every day under the current system and it's un-effing-acceptable. Are you really okay with thousands dying every year simply because they can't afford the healthcare coverage? 45,000 according to a recent Harvard study. Google it. But I guess they're all wrong too, huh? Were you actually born without a clue, or is it something you purposely ignore because it conflicts with your fascist ideology?
"Are you really okay with thousands dying every year... "
No, however should you be responsible for someone who consumed drugs and pizza their entire life and now are sick, also no. I won't ever look to you for my healthcare. It's a shame you support stealing from others and myself to provide yourself with it. You sure jump to calling names quickly also.
Don't act so compassionate to the poor when here you support the cause of their problems, government...
If you look through my other comments on this video, you'll notice where I make clear that a single payer bill should absolutely include an element of personal responsibility. I'm not trying to direct anything to my advantage. I'm advocating something that anyone who cares enough to take the time to do the truly objective homework can see benefits everybody. Even clueless tools like you.
Speak for yourself. I've been speaking out AGAINST the crimes being committed in our name and paid for with our tax dollars for years. Where have you been?
Is it stealing to use tax dollars to fund the fire department too? How about the police? How about the maintenance of our transportation infrastructure?
Tell me why it doesn't make sense from a purely economic standpoint to save several hundred billion dollars per year by switching from 1300-plus insurance payers to one.
"Speak for yourself. I've been speaking out AGAINST..."
I do speak for myself, you should do the same and stop telling me what I should be providing to you. You advocate crimes being committed, but you won't accept that.
"Is it stealing to use tax dollars to fund..."
Yes, it is obviously. But then I think you are smart enough to realize that.
"Tell me why..."
Because it's stealing J.. Ok, maybe you are not smart enough to realize that. I give.
SAVING the people $400 billion dollars every year compared to what they're paying now for healthcare (a full third of which is wasted on needless administration and bureaucracy - almost all of which would be eliminated with single payer) is ripping them off? There is some seriously tortured logic.
Of course you give up! Convenient isn't it? Just pronounce me "not smart enough" and move on, content with self-imposed justification of your failure to offer any real answers. Good job!
How about save all of our effort and not have any stolen by you or government.
I am not offering you a solution. That is your job, not my failing. Don't look to me to be responsible for your participation and support of this awful system. I develop my own solutions.
You're stating that stealing from one person to give to another, even if you have to kill them to do it, is ok.... You justify this by stating some "concept of the greater good". You are neither humane, nor a lover of liberty....
"even if you have to kill them to do it"... YOUR words. I never said it nor do I think it. Cheap propaganda tactic.
I'm advocating a system that would cover the 45,000 people who currently die every year because they can't afford coverage, eliminate the 50% of personal bankruptcies caused by medical bills AND allow businesses to focus on growth instead of insurance costs. All you can do, completely blind to the value, is bitch about how it's theft. And I'M the inhumane one who hates liberty?
You know it happens everyday... Yet, just as all Statists do, you avoid the responsibility of your participation, support, and from this video the endorsement of theft and murder.
Run and hide from your viscous reality once again J.
"I am not offering you a solution. That is your job, not my failing."
Then why did you come here to complain in the first place? Why aren't you off somewhere developing your own solutions? I'll tell you why. Because you're either a soulless, naked effing shill for the fascist status quo, or you've been played for a fool by people who are.
If you're going to bitch about my solution, you better damn well be ready to detail one of your own. Otherwise, you're just another propaganda parrot.
Oh, and I do create my own solutions but they don't work for you because you don't know these people nor does it seem you are seeking a solution for yourself. I do not have insurance, yet I have a regular doctor that I trade services with and receive excellent care for.
It's called the Free Market and no amount of your crying is going to get rid of it.
"nor does it seem you are seeking a solution for yourself."
I have a solution for myself. I'm doing this out of genuine compassion for others (something you're clearly not concerned with), and because it makes the most economic sense. With every ounce of focus on and effort directed toward profit, the "free market" health insurance system is killing people and businesses every day.
But hey, you've got your awesome deal, so that's all that matters, right?
There is nothing compassionate about stealing from other people. I am concerned that you believe it is morally correct and ethically right to steal.
You stated earlier that "single payer bill should absolutely include an element of personal responsibility."
Explain what element that would be. Would it be accepting the violence as OK because it benefits the greater good? That is the impression I get from your statements. Is this who John Perry really is?
It's not stealing, there's no violence involved, and you know it. You just keep spewing that propaganda because your mission is the broken status quo. You're shilling for fascists. You need to accept the fact that you're in the minority on this issue and just get over it. Most of us can see the value. Not just for the less fortunate, but for everybody. That's why the majority supports the idea. Personal responsibility is just what the words imply. It's got nothing to do with violence.
And you call me a Fascist? LOL! Are you seeking a sense of national belonging? Fascism rejects liberal ideas such as freedom and individual rights. You make it clear you support no choice but government in this matter.
Have you ever heard of a woman named Sherry Peel Jackson? Ask her if it's stealing and whether there is violence involved. But hurry cause she's about to die it seems, at the hands of your beloved system you are promoting here.
I said you were shilling for fascists. Might make you one, might not. It's certainly possible that you don't realize you're being used, since you clearly don't understand the difference between allowing government unfettered power to serve their corporate paymasters at our expense (which is happening now and has been for years), and citizens exercising their responsibility to stand up and demand that they work for US.
You can repeat the lie as many times as you want. It will never become the truth. I have addressed it, and pointed out exaclty HOW it's a lie. I'll trust the vast majority of people who read these comments to to understand this, even if they disagree with me on single payer.
Maybe you need to submit yourself to some help in accepting reality, and the fact that no amount of lying can change it.
"it's not stealing, there's no violence involved" is all you will say about the coercive and violent system you propose. It is obviously the opposite because it is forced upon everyone.
Although I have provided one example of how it is, which you completely ignore like a typical Statist, I will give you another chance.
Again, what about Sherry Peel Jackson? Does she deserve what she is getting because she doesn't want to participate either?
There is nothing coercive or violent about a healthcare system preferred by the majority of Americans (as the polls featured in this video prove), that would cover everybody for everything and do so for much less than we're paying now.
Sherry absolutely does not deserve what she's getting. But we're not talking about the income tax system. We're talking about a system where the people are actually getting something for their money. Pretty sad that you find it so hard to understand.
It's not mob rule. It's called the majority wins. But because this is a representative republic the minority still has rights, like the right to demand an opt out provision in single payer legislation. Which brings us to a major problem in this country: Far too many people would rather just complain about "the system" and use it as an excuse for their inaction. They're forgetting that even a corrupt rep will do the right thing to keep his cush gig in DC. It just takes enough people to stand up.
Do you seriously believe a "Republic" is synonymous with "majority wins"?
The system that I can submit to or hop out of society completely because of coercion enforced by the system, is not a system that favors humanity nor liberty.
Again, you don't see the coercion financed on our dime. That is all I want to understand, why would you participate in that?
I havent followed your extended dispute but AngryHate is a moron. The American people have wanted single payer health care like they have in every other developed nation, but their REPRESENTATIVES who REPRESENT them in congress (republican theory) are against it. Are you not a republican in the literal sense? are you not incensed by this?
I appreciate the kind words, Dave. I will continue to call things as I see them, regardless of the politics. This issue has democrats and republicans arguing about a "public option" that anyone with an ounce of impartiality and common sense can see is a total fraud from the word go. People need to realize that partisanship is simply a tool used by elitists to divide us. While democrats and republicans focus on their self-serving arguments, the crimes of the real power structure are ignored.
A human right? I'm not sure I buy into that mis-propaganda. i believe it is MY right to care for MY FAMILY and I but to violently steal from my neighbor at the point of a gun to pay for a medical procedure I don't agree with or for vaccinations and the big pharma (I take zero drugs and likely never will) fro me of my family, I don not agree with. No, THAT IS WHAT WE ARE DEALING WITH... NOTHING ELSE! Jeez Jerry, get to the root of the problem and quit buying this crap. I believe in you.
"mis-propaganda?" Wouldn't that be truth? Look Lumpy, it's my OPINION that healthcare is s human right. And given the consistent results of the polls cited in this video, which go back for several years, it's clear that the majority would agree. Including the majority of doctors and nurses. Are you saying you know better than them? They're not trying to force anything on anybody. They just want to do the best they can for people. Sorry, but you're the one buying (and thus spreading) the crap.
By your attempt at logic: proper food and nutrition to prevent the need for most health care is a human right; Warmth and shelter which would prevent the need for a lot of health care expense is a human right;. Transportation to the hospital or health care provider is a human right; Using government guns to force all participants to provide all of these resources and services (at a set price or no price at all) is a human right too, correct?
If health care is a right, fine... but I would rather trust the free enterprise system for it's implementation rather than trust the fedgov to use the 'right' as an excuse to enslave the people for political purposes.
Fedgov always screws it up... then they use that as an excuse to screw it up even more. They are beyond corrupt...
Steve, I agree that businesses should stand or fall on their own merits (or lack thereof) within the free enterprise system. But we shouldn't allow such a system to govern whether people are able to maintain good health, and certainly not whether they live or die (as thousands do every year, simply because they can't afford the coverage). This is what I mean when I say healthcare is a human right. Should there be a measure of personal responsibility within a single payer system? Absolutely.
The feds do screw up and use it as an excuse for more power. But if more people would take the time to really understand this issue, instead of lashing out from the shadows with two feet planted firmly in their political comfort zone (not saying you're doing that), they would realize that this movement is an effort to change that status quo. The idea is to get them working for US instead of their corporate bedfellows. Nobody's saying it will be easy. But it IS our responsibility as citizens.
This issue may seem difficult to simply state, as it were. But bascially, the fedgov presumes to control all life, liberty and property, regardless. So, they tax, they print, they spend, and they make war. That's fascism. It uses any means to an end. Health care is just another means to an end. The US Congress is worthless and will declare martial law rather than be repsonsible to the people. If our governors don't wake up, it's all over but the crying. The fedgov is a double-talking despot.
I'm sure Jerry appreciates your support. My name is John. You have pointed out nothing except your own bias toward the broken status quo. If you really want to shut me up, I'll offer you the same challenge I have offered mogodbilealadamnbama, who has so far given no indication of accepting: Make a response video refuting this one point by point and show your sources, like I do with every video I make. Until then, it will be clear to anyone truly paying attention that you're just blowing smoke.
John, You are a good example of stubborn ignorance... And trying to convince someone who's cup is overfilled is futile. I wish you the best and hope the light bulb goes off at some point in your head about the best road to a future of freedom and liberty for all of us. Regardless of the future utopias, we are now under attack by the elite bankers and their crony politicians. At least we can agree on one set of common enemies. I just hope you stick to that subject for goodness sake.

Thanks again for another important video! I live in France... excellent healthcare, no waiting, healthcare costs are kept low (consultation with a doc costs about 20-30€) and the patient is reimborsed their expenses.... and, psss, it's not true that we're being killed with taxes, the difference is that we get something for them.
Its not like the public option bill they were going to pass had any meat in it. The health care bill is just going to enrich the Insuraance companies who will gain from the millions of new customers
Ron Paul is one doctor. I like him a lot. This is one issue I disagree with him strongly on. Healthcare should not be treated like a commodity. I will not call you a "tard." I think we can disagree without resorting to that kind of juvenile crap.
The polls have been consistent. The people want it. They understand it's not free. They're sick and damn tired of the ridiculous political posturing. The job can be done easily. The politicians just need to stop pandering to the special interests.
Yes, Ron Paul is one doctor, and I am not a blind follower of his. Yet, he seems to undestand the interconnected-ness of banking, lawyering, and the the health care debate, along with GMO and the food cartel, without saying so, directly.
Sorry for the run-on sentence.
The polls will reflect whatever the pollsters wants them to reflect.
Is that what you want?
Gimme the specific questions they asked, and I'll show you why they came out the way they did.
The link to the page with all the poll results cited in this video (which includes links to the polls themselves) is in the video info here. Knock yourself out. Post a response video with your answers. I'll look forward to it.
Is that the best you can do? Pretty pathetic. I've said many times that I never have and never will claim perfection. I am certainly not above being proven wrong. But you will NEVER do it with half-assed comments backed up with nothing. Here's to you eventually figuring out that if all you can do is trash the messenger without even attempting to refute the message, you got nothin'.
Did you miss the fact that 64% support a national healthcare program that covers everybody EVEN IF IT MEANS HIGHER TAXES? Clearly the people don't expect a free lunch. Spare me the intellectual dishonesty.
Are you saying that every source in every poll cited in this video is wrong?
We're not talking about one person or one poll. We're talking a consistent showing over the course of years. Feel free to refute it all with a similar showing in your own video and post it as a response. But don't just keep spouting off here in the comments. Unless, of course, you're not concerned with being taken seriously.
Why should I bother answering your question if you're not willing to be serious?
You really want to make me look like a dumbass? Post a response video refuting everything in this one point by point, and provide equal backup. Until you do that, you'll be seen as just another gutless comment section troll.
At least you can admit being a troll. That's an important first step.
I'll get back to you on your question as soon as you get back to me with a legitimate refutation of this video. Do the homework, make a response video and show your sources, just like I do with every video I make.
That quote sounds almost like Benjamin Disraeli. Maybe I'm thinking of this one.
"There are three kinds of lies: Lies, damn lies, and statistics."
Over the past three years I've done a lot of observing, and to be honest, I've become quite sick of three things: Government, religion and 2 party rhetoric. Then again I've been a registered independent since I was 18.
You have the right to get whatever healthcare you feel is best and for it to be private.
I'm not saying the current system is ok and doesn't have massive problems, but there may be fixes by looking at past interventions and see if theyve helped or hurt. Maybe take power away from DC for a change instead of giving them even more.
BTW, whats right isnt always popular and whats popular isnt always right.
You're comparing apples and oranges. The only thing that changes under a single payer plan is how the healthcare gets paid for. The healthcare itself is still private, and people are still free to go wherever they want for it.
Supporting government-sponsored health care is supporting coercion and the threat of violence against ALL of your fellow Americans. I should have the right to opt out and not have my life energy taken from me involuntarily to support socialistic initiatives. Under such a government policy if I refuse to participate, men with guns come and put me in prison... shooting to kill me if I do not cooperate and try to defend myself. Besides, you have been hoodwinked by the elites with this one too.
Give me a break with that alarmist garbage. Nobody's going to put you in prison if you don't want to participate. But if you're crazy enough to want to pay far more than you have to for your healthcare coverage, that's your own problem.
definitely not alarmist here. It is simply reality and economics. More government expense (bigger government) equals more taxes (or more inflation). Taxes equal violence, aggression, and oppression. The more taxes, the more we are oppressed. And, if you think men with guns do not come to your house if you don't pay taxes... then by all means, stop paying taxes and learn the hard way as have some of my friends (arrested by men with guns and their property confiscated and auctioned off).
You didn't say anything in your previous post about not paying taxes. You implied that you'd be taken away if you didn't participate in a national healthcare plan. Be clear what you're talking about from the start or don't bother.
It's really amazing how people like you will complain to no end about "involuntary support of socialistic initiatives," but apparently have no problem with being milked for all you're worth by corporate elitist bastards who couldn't care less about your health.
>>"but apparently have no problem with being milked for all you're worth by corporate elitist bastards who couldn't care less about your health"
You sure do make a lot of assumptions, and they are pretty outlandish. It's not a huge mental leap, even for a socialist, to associate socialized health care with taxes. Have you ever thought about how government run programs are paid for? And, how this money is stolen? And what happens if the victims resist? Wake up.. for the sake of your audience...
Apparently, since I disagree with socialism you assume that I worship the other brand of politicians also captured by goldman sachs and the other wall street criminals.
I hate to point out the obvious, but Marx, who you may worship, worked for the elites. Socialism is just another elitist scam on the people. Both parties are completely bought and paid for, as are all government-led initiatives. Please wake up and help lead them to freedom.
Single payer healthcare is not socialism, as anyone who's being real about this issue can tell you.
I am fully aware that both parties are completely bought and paid for. This is not a government-led initiative. It's a people-led initiative to get the government to actually work for US, the ones who elected them, instead of the elitists who keep them flush with cash while our republic falls to pieces.
I assure you I am wide awake. Perhaps it's you who needs to stop hitting the snooze bar.
Where do you think the government will get this money to provide free healthcare? And, why do you think this isn't socialism? It's at least an attempt at socialism ("For the people") which will simply by hi-jacked by the pharmaceutical/oil corporations and turned into more fascist outcomes... as do all of these collectivism theories. Clearly you wouldn't call this free market capitalism...
Please tell me from whom the government is supposed to steal the money to pay health care providers,
Nobody expects the healthcare to be free. The government won't need to steal any money. Please - the intellectual dishonesty schtick is getting really old. I could give you every answer right here and you would just keep replying with ridiculous, unsupported retorts. The answers about how it will be paid for are all there. All my sources are in the video info. All one needs to do is look, be honest about doing the homework, and they can learn the truth for themselves.
>>"The answers about how it will be paid for are all there"
You still didn't answer the question. Government has two sources of capital to pay for everything it does: Taxes (gotten by force, violence, coercion) and Inflation (unethical and more force and violence to enforce use of its fiat currency... 700+ military bases to enforce its "reserve" currency, and laws preventing you and I from trading with our own, privately printed currency).
I seriously do not believe you are awake sir. Please learn the truth of government. You have an audience and should not encourage that audience to support their own slavery.
"BTW, whats right isnt always popular and whats popular isnt always right."
That's what people said when Bush attacked Iraq, and look where that got us. It's so funny how when people want something that might actually help them, people just like you scream "SOCIALISM SOCIALISM SOCIALISM!", but what if you were in a position in which you needed some kind of help?
@Homer... we all need help sometimes. That is why we ask our friends, family, or charity... or we have the ability to offer a voluntary, mutually beneficial arrangement with others.
The alternative is to use coercion and the threat of violence (aka government) to get our way. Government IS force. It IS violence. And it IS aggression.
Any system which is involuntary is one which requires force and violence. Please stop supporting violence and let humans be free.
massachusetts, heard of it ? yea idiot worked real good there. no cost savings, worst health care, pull your head out of your ass.

The majority of Americans would also want to each get a million dollar stimulus check, but that wouldn't be economically sound.
By supporting a single payer system you are supporting the paradigm.
Putting a band aid on a broken system will only kick the can further down the road. The system must be reinvented not remolded from the same turd.

AngryHateMusic 2 years ago
"I am not offering you a solution. That is your job, not my failing."
Then why did you come here to complain in the first place? Why aren't you off somewhere developing your own solutions? I'll tell you why. Because you're either a soulless, naked effing shill for the fascist status quo, or you've been played for a fool by people who are.
If you're going to bitch about my solution, you better damn well be ready to detail one of your own. Otherwise, you're just another propaganda parrot.
jperryam 2 years ago
I only write here because I once had a lot of respect for you. You swear and call names like my 10 year old neighbors son.
Your solution proposes providing a service at the barrell of a gun. You cannot avoid that reality will all your justifications.
You, John Perry, are happy to steal the murder anyone that doesn't participate in providing you healthcare. That is the reality you propose.
AngryHateMusic 2 years ago
Oh, and I do create my own solutions but they don't work for you because you don't know these people nor does it seem you are seeking a solution for yourself. I do not have insurance, yet I have a regular doctor that I trade services with and receive excellent care for.
It's called the Free Market and no amount of your crying is going to get rid of it.
AngryHateMusic 2 years ago
"from this video the endorsement of theft and murder."
I've already demonstrated how that is a completely false characterization. I'll let the record here speak for itself.
"You swear and call names like my 10 year old neighbors son."
Sorry. I have a low tolerance for fools and I'm not afraid to let it show.
"Your solution proposes providing a service at the barrell of a gun. "
No gun necessary when the majority already supports the idea, as the consistent poll results prove.
jperryam 2 years ago
"nor does it seem you are seeking a solution for yourself."
I have a solution for myself. I'm doing this out of genuine compassion for others (something you're clearly not concerned with), and because it makes the most economic sense. With every ounce of focus on and effort directed toward profit, the "free market" health insurance system is killing people and businesses every day.
But hey, you've got your awesome deal, so that's all that matters, right?
Way to go, genius.
jperryam 2 years ago
There is nothing compassionate about stealing from other people. I am concerned that you believe it is morally correct and ethically right to steal.
You stated earlier that "single payer bill should absolutely include an element of personal responsibility."
Explain what element that would be. Would it be accepting the violence as OK because it benefits the greater good? That is the impression I get from your statements. Is this who John Perry really is?
AngryHateMusic 2 years ago
It's not stealing, there's no violence involved, and you know it. You just keep spewing that propaganda because your mission is the broken status quo. You're shilling for fascists. You need to accept the fact that you're in the minority on this issue and just get over it. Most of us can see the value. Not just for the less fortunate, but for everybody. That's why the majority supports the idea. Personal responsibility is just what the words imply. It's got nothing to do with violence.
jperryam 2 years ago
And you call me a Fascist? LOL! Are you seeking a sense of national belonging? Fascism rejects liberal ideas such as freedom and individual rights. You make it clear you support no choice but government in this matter.
Have you ever heard of a woman named Sherry Peel Jackson? Ask her if it's stealing and whether there is violence involved. But hurry cause she's about to die it seems, at the hands of your beloved system you are promoting here.
You once again, ignore and justify the violence.
AngryHateMusic 2 years ago
I said you were shilling for fascists. Might make you one, might not. It's certainly possible that you don't realize you're being used, since you clearly don't understand the difference between allowing government unfettered power to serve their corporate paymasters at our expense (which is happening now and has been for years), and citizens exercising their responsibility to stand up and demand that they work for US.
Keep trying. You just might get it some day.
jperryam 2 years ago
You refuse to answers to questions regarding the violence you participate in. You will avoid it all costs won't you?
Maybe you need to submit yourself to some violence anonymous sessions.
AngryHateMusic 2 years ago
You can repeat the lie as many times as you want. It will never become the truth. I have addressed it, and pointed out exaclty HOW it's a lie. I'll trust the vast majority of people who read these comments to to understand this, even if they disagree with me on single payer.
Maybe you need to submit yourself to some help in accepting reality, and the fact that no amount of lying can change it.
jperryam 2 years ago
Where have you addressed it? Really, where? LOL!
AngryHateMusic 2 years ago
There is nothing coercive or violent about a healthcare system preferred by the majority of Americans (as the polls featured in this video prove), that would cover everybody for everything and do so for much less than we're paying now.
Sherry absolutely does not deserve what she's getting. But we're not talking about the income tax system. We're talking about a system where the people are actually getting something for their money. Pretty sad that you find it so hard to understand.
jperryam 2 years ago
"There is nothing coercive or violent about a healthcare system preferred by the majority of Americans"
It's called MOB RULE
"Sherry absolutely does not deserve what she's getting."
I am very glad you agree however the "system" is exactly what we are talking about. A violent system. Thanks.
AngryHateMusic 2 years ago
It's not mob rule. It's called the majority wins. But because this is a representative republic the minority still has rights, like the right to demand an opt out provision in single payer legislation. Which brings us to a major problem in this country: Far too many people would rather just complain about "the system" and use it as an excuse for their inaction. They're forgetting that even a corrupt rep will do the right thing to keep his cush gig in DC. It just takes enough people to stand up.
jperryam 2 years ago
Do you seriously believe a "Republic" is synonymous with "majority wins"?
The system that I can submit to or hop out of society completely because of coercion enforced by the system, is not a system that favors humanity nor liberty.
Again, you don't see the coercion financed on our dime. That is all I want to understand, why would you participate in that?
AngryHateMusic 2 years ago
I havent followed your extended dispute but AngryHate is a moron. The American people have wanted single payer health care like they have in every other developed nation, but their REPRESENTATIVES who REPRESENT them in congress (republican theory) are against it.

Health care is more than just "a human right", it is fundamentally HUMANE.
However, considering the way HCR has been politicized, I seriously question the very concept of "HUMANE."
paddedshell 2 years ago
A human right? I'm not sure I buy into that mis-propaganda. i believe it is MY right to care for MY FAMILY and I but to violently steal from my neighbor at the point of a gun to pay for a medical procedure I don't agree with or for vaccinations and the big pharma (I take zero drugs and likely never will) fro me of my family, I don not agree with. No, THAT IS WHAT WE ARE DEALING WITH... NOTHING ELSE! Jeez Jerry, get to the root of the problem and quit buying this crap. I believe in you.
LumpyRevolution 2 years ago 15
"mis-propaganda?" Wouldn't that be truth? Look Lumpy, it's my OPINION that healthcare is s human right. And given the consistent results of the polls cited in this video, which go back for several years, it's clear that the majority would agree. Including the majority of doctors and nurses. Are you saying you know better than them? They're not trying to force anything on anybody. They just want to do the best they can for people. Sorry, but you're the one buying (and thus spreading) the crap.
jperryam 2 years ago
>>"healthcare is s human right."
By your attempt at logic: proper food and nutrition to prevent the need for most health care is a human right; Warmth and shelter which would prevent the need for a lot of health care expense is a human right;. Transportation to the hospital or health care provider is a human right; Using government guns to force all participants to provide all of these resources and services (at a set price or no price at all) is a human right too, correct?
magichandpuppet 2 years ago 10
If health care is a right, fine... but I would rather trust the free enterprise system for it's implementation rather than trust the fedgov to use the 'right' as an excuse to enslave the people for political purposes.
Fedgov always screws it up... then they use that as an excuse to screw it up even more. They are beyond corrupt...
esgatch 2 years ago 9
Steve, I agree that businesses should stand or fall on their own merits (or lack thereof) within the free enterprise system. But we shouldn't allow such a system to govern whether people are able to maintain good health, and certainly not whether they live or die (as thousands do every year, simply because they can't afford the coverage). This is what I mean when I say healthcare is a human right. Should there be a measure of personal responsibility within a single payer system? Absolutely.
jperryam 2 years ago
The feds do screw up and use it as an excuse for more power. But if more people would take the time to really understand this issue, instead of lashing out from the shadows with two feet planted firmly in their political comfort zone (not saying you're doing that), they would realize that this movement is an effort to change that status quo. The idea is to get them working for US instead of their corporate bedfellows. Nobody's saying it will be easy. But it IS our responsibility as citizens.
jperryam 2 years ago
This issue may seem difficult to simply state, as it were. But bascially, the fedgov presumes to control all life, liberty and property, regardless. So, they tax, they print, they spend, and they make war. That's fascism. It uses any means to an end. Health care is just another means to an end. The US Congress is worthless and will declare martial law rather than be repsonsible to the people. If our governors don't wake up, it's all over but the crying. The fedgov is a double-talking despot.

You have the right to get whatever healthcare you feel is best and for it to be private.
I'm not saying the current system is ok and doesn't have massive problems, but there may be fixes by looking at past interventions and see if theyve helped or hurt. Maybe take power away from DC for a change instead of giving them even more.
BTW, whats right isnt always popular and whats popular isnt always right.
yostevoak1 2 years ago 8
You're comparing apples and oranges. The only thing that changes under a single payer plan is how the healthcare gets paid for. The healthcare itself is still private, and people are still free to go wherever they want for it.
jperryam 2 years ago
Supporting government-sponsored health care is supporting coercion and the threat of violence against ALL of your fellow Americans. I should have the right to opt out and not have my life energy taken from me involuntarily to support socialistic initiatives. Under such a government policy if I refuse to participate, men with guns come and put me in prison... shooting to kill me if I do not cooperate and try to defend myself. Besides, you have been hoodwinked by the elites with this one too.
magichandpuppet 2 years ago 4
Give me a break with that alarmist garbage. Nobody's going to put you in prison if you don't want to participate. But if you're crazy enough to want to pay far more than you have to for your healthcare coverage, that's your own problem.
jperryam 2 years ago
definitely not alarmist here. It is simply reality and economics. More government expense (bigger government) equals more taxes (or more inflation). Taxes equal violence, aggression, and oppression. The more taxes, the more we are oppressed. And, if you think men with guns do not come to your house if you don't pay taxes... then by all means, stop paying taxes and learn the hard way as have some of my friends (arrested by men with guns and their property confiscated and auctioned off).
magichandpuppet 2 years ago 4
You didn't say anything in your previous post about not paying taxes. You implied that you'd be taken away if you didn't participate in a national healthcare plan. Be clear what you're talking about from the start or don't bother.
It's really amazing how people like you will complain to no end about "involuntary support of socialistic initiatives," but apparently have no problem with being milked for all you're worth by corporate elitist bastards who couldn't care less about your health.
jperryam 2 years ago
>>"but apparently have no problem with being milked for all you're worth by corporate elitist bastards who couldn't care less about your health"
You sure do make a lot of assumptions, and they are pretty outlandish. It's not a huge mental leap, even for a socialist, to associate socialized health care with taxes. Have you ever thought about how government run programs are paid for? And, how this money is stolen? And what happens if the victims resist? Wake up.. for the sake of your audience...
magichandpuppet 2 years ago 5
>>"It's really amazing how people like you"...
Please wake up and help lead them to freedom.
magichandpuppet 2 years ago 3
Single payer healthcare is not socialism, as anyone who's being real about this issue can tell you.
I am fully aware that both parties are completely bought and paid for. This is not a government-led initiative. It's a people-led initiative to get the government to actually work for US, the ones who elected them, instead of the elitists who keep them flush with cash while our republic falls to pieces.
I assure you I am wide awake. Perhaps it's you who needs to stop hitting the snooze bar.
jperryam 2 years ago
Where do you think the government will get this money to provide free healthcare? And, why do you think this isn't socialism? It's at least an attempt at socialism ("For the people") which will simply by hi-jacked by the pharmaceutical/oil corporations and turned into more fascist outcomes... as do all of these collectivism theories. Clearly you wouldn't call this free market capitalism...
Please tell me from whom the government is supposed to steal the money to pay health care providers,
magichandpuppet 2 years ago 5
Nobody expects the healthcare to be free. The government won't need to steal any money. Please - the intellectual dishonesty schtick is getting really old. I could give you every answer right here and you would just keep replying with ridiculous, unsupported retorts. The answers about how it will be paid for are all there. All my sources are in the video info. All one needs to do is look, be honest about doing the homework, and they can learn the truth for themselves.
jperryam 2 years ago
>>"The answers about how it will be paid for are all there"
You still didn't answer the question. Government has two sources of capital to pay for everything it does: Taxes (gotten by force, violence, coercion) and Inflation (unethical and more force and violence to enforce use of its fiat currency... 700+ military bases to enforce its "reserve" currency, and laws preventing you and I from trading with our own, privately printed currency).

Homer177 2 years ago 2
@Homer... we all need help sometimes. That is why we ask our friends, family, or charity... or we have the ability to offer a voluntary, mutually beneficial arrangement with others.
The alternative is to use coercion and the threat of violence (aka government) to get our way. Government IS force. It IS violence. And it IS aggression.
