Well, Bruce & Adrian were out of Maiden at the time & there are quite a few Maiden songs that they've written together or solely. Solely written Bruce songs - Revelations, Powerslave, Flash Of The Blade, Bring Your Daughter to The Slaughter. Solely written Adrian songs - Sea Of Madness, Stranger In A Strange Land, Wasted Years and stuff Bruce and Adrian wrote - Flight Of Icarus, Sun & Steel, Moonchild & Hooks In You.

Also, you don't need permission to perform a song live. You do need to get a license to release a song live, as well as put it in a movie.

A simple license to release a song is usually no big deal. They're pretty much granted without question. Very few artists don't allow their music to be covered. It's money for them.

The thing about this is, As part of Bruce and Adrian's separation from Maiden, They were probably allowed to cover whatever Maiden songs they liked.

Bruce opened for Scorpions this concert. It's very rare that the entire crowd cheers the name of the opening act! At the end the whole bunch of Scorpions fans shout "Brucie Brucie". I'm glad Bruce and Adrian rejoined Maiden and got back to their headlining ways.
