are there any preferences to turn the notifier icons on the menubar black and white? being the only colorful graphics up there kinda of sucks/feels wrong
I'm considering moving to GMail from my POP3 mail client because getting it to connect is such a hassle, but I am concerned about having enough space and can I download/backup all the emails?
You'd probably already have found out, but Gmail doesn't offer a backup solution. To do so, you'll have to setup pop3 on your gmail account settings pane and preiodically download all your messages on a desktop client such as thunderbird or any other you like.
That's what I've done. I now get email downloaded from GMail via POP3. However it seems at times like some emails get lost, maybe filtered by spam filters by mistake, but I'm unsure. I also wonder does email sent include something indicating it is a GMail account?
It sure does include information about your account, such as name of the server it was sent from. The issues you're experiencing I have noticed using the IMAP protocol, in which some messages are put in sub-folders or stuff like that.
so many times having frustration with imap, going back to browsing and then receiving important email with out even knowing and opening them 2 days old
I like that Demo!
