when i first played, i whooped all their asses with the pipe, cept the rompers of course. then again i was on normal. what's best fighting those pterodactyl things is if you go beneath an awning. they're powerless because they'll just want to walk toward u and they don't do well with combat on foot

The Knife is pretty good if you want to kill a demon child with it you got to have:

1:Good timing

2:Be an hardcore vidoegamer

3:Use the backing up move and side steps

4:Never give up

and the most inportint step of all

5:Dont swear everytime you die be confedent and calm play a tone to calm you when your trying to attempt somthing inpossable

You wanna walk backwards and swing the knife when you're against the dogs. And for the flying dinosaurs, chose the pipe and stand under a low roof until they fly under it then start swinging.

The knife is best used for the dogs as it's quicker. Anyway, anyone knows about how long it takes to beat this game? I'm at the hospital part.

@SilentChelsea I've never tried to kill a romper with anything but the Hammer cuz its so easy. They walk right into it everytime. I pretty much kill everything with the hammer really. After I beat the game I had over 100 bullets left and was pretty mad about that. I wish I knew the ending was coming cuz I would of been shooting away.

i have killed used the emergency hammer on just about every enemy in the game aside from rompers and air screamers. now, after 200 playthroughs, i play the game just for fun w/ different weapons, but i still don't use the knife much because i have the reaction time of a dead cat.

Yea, I dont have the chainsaw yet. I only beat it once and I'm not really excited about having to go ALL THE WAY through the school twice just to get it. I think its stupid that its not at the beginning as soon as you start your second go round. So basically the Hammer is my weapon of choice cuz its just so damn fun and satisfying lol

hahaha yeah I pretty much was done using the knife once I got my hands on the gun. There isn't alot of ammo but I found running and dodgeing certain enemies in certain places is a good strategy

Never thought of that. But very much true. I could see a dog getting shot and being so stupid that it still attacks you. But stab one in the face and I'm quite sure it will run away or just die...... But then again I've never seen a pterodactyl in real life so I have no idea how many times you would have to hit one with a rusty pipe before it falls out the sky.

Heh, well, a pterodactyl, you can safely assume avian physiology; hollow bones, lightweight body. But it's flying, so the real trick is scoring a hit to begin with.
