You actually enjoyed Abyss vs Mick Foley? Not only was it goofy and akward to watch, it was a HUGE dissapointment. The way TNA built the match up on there pre-show on Spike made it seem like it was going to be Edge vs Foley from WM 22 good. There was no need for Dr. Stevie and Daphney and they brought the match down alot for me. Truthslayer is not biased, he's just not an idiot.

Also the thing with Abyss coming out through the stage I think came off really awkward because the crowd was completely silent for the most part. Just a disappointing mess

Lets see Taker vs Shawn is MOTY as I can not seeing anything topping it before years end and a top 5 match in WM history and maybe the best match in thee last ten years. Also you had MITB that I would say was as good if not better than the best match on this show.

Uuum, incase you haven't noticed TNA has about 20 knockouts or near 20 knockouts. Do you think all of them can go after that 1 single's knockouts championship. I'm sure if given the proper time, TNA can put together a few more makeshift teams and make them work like Sarita & Taylor and leave the Singles Knockout division with about 3-4 competitors competing for the belt.
ODB, Kong, Tara, Sky, Rayne, (recent addition) Von Erich, Wilde, Sarita, Saeed (Flash), Daffney, and...oh, right...a 9 valets and 1 import in Hamada who they'll sparingly use.
And who says they were all gunning for the strap, again? And since when is that a bad thing given, by extension of your logic, there are a possible 19 contenders to the WWE Championship on RAW, yet they don't all get shots.
And since when does throw-together teams make for a good division?
U also forgot Christy Hemme, Traci Brooks, Sojo Bolt, & more to come. That is 13 women. And way too many to compete for 1 title. Don't forgot that WWE has 2 women's titles as well. The Divas title on RAW and then the Women's title on Smackdown. Raw only has 8 women with only about 3-6 women competing 4 the strap & Smackdown only has 6 women where again 3-5 women compete for their women's strap. So 1 strap isn't enuff 4 a women's division. TNA can make teams anytime. No problem there.
There's a reason I'm not counting Hemme or Brooks, neither is a full time wrestler, they're valets or personalities, especially Brooks. Sojo was an oversight, but even still, she's not considered by many as being a top contender to the strap especially given she's only been in the industry for about a year now and still has much to learn and much to accomplish and earn.

A few general observations...Dixie Carter is gonna shove Morgan down everyone's throat which really sucks. He's a carbon copy ripoff of every big monster type that's been in the biz over the last 10-15 years(Nash, The Giant, Goldberg, Lesnar)..Dudleys won the IWGP titles so they'll lose them back to some NJPW team at the Tokyo dome show..Steiner still has that 'it' power to take over when he wants to..Robert Roode is a great great worker..He's #3 in terms of workrate next to AJ and Angle IMO.
The ultimate X match was very entertaining and was a great way to kick things off. Unfortunately, the ppv went downhill from there. There were some moments that stood out in the 4 way tag titles match, and the Joe/Lashley match were you were like "Ok..this is what I'm talkin bout" but overall the show was meh...

The PPV was complete garbage. Abyss vs. Foley was crap. Hernandez lost at the biggest PPV of the year? Samoa Joe tapped out to the biggest bust in wrestling? Sting vs. Styles wasn't a memorable match, since Sting can't wrestle anymore. Crap.
I haven't been a fan of Steiner since he was teamed with his brother BUT seeing Scotty go on that short run he did was one of the highlights of the PPV for me.
I agree about the missed spots. This is something that bugs the shit right out of me. Also the gimmick matches are never as exciting anymore because they are used much too often. I did, however, enjoy Ultimate X tonight.
Anyways, the major problems, I had, w/ BFG 09 were that the effort lacked here-&-there as the PPV got closer to the end, this version of BFG felt less like "the" TNA PPV when compared to previous years, & some MEer who really didn't care during the TNA Title match... yeah...
However, the "young" talent went over (besides Morgan, but w/e), there were a lot of fun/entertaining moments & at least good matches, & TNA are set-up good for their "Make-or-Break" run, which is now 'til Lockdown, IMO.

I fully agree with that. Brian and RVD were backstage at BFG and really I would have loved to see either of their faces when they saw that spot with Suicide. I mean think of the implications if that structer fell apart because at one time both Shelly and Sabin were under it as well.
On another note though I am saddly missing Scott Levy and his mind because no matter the hardcore match he always someway made it work. I mean after everything you could not just get Abyss at your biggest show of the year to take a taser spot if you "really" needed that in the match.

The person that Tara went after was Kim Cotoure. The camera missed it on purpose. TNA wanted that to come off as a shoot.
TNA signed Bobby Lashley for free PR. If he signs with StrikeForce or UFC they can put the TNA World Heavyweight Championship on him so its shown on their PPV events.
What makes you think they are going to let him WRESTLE if he signs and that they would SHOW a Pro-wrestling title on thier PPVs. Lashley is like every one else they have brought in for PR in that its not going to work.
I am not sure that a MMA company will let him wrestle or allow him to show a pro wrestling title. I am not saying TNA was the most logical company in the world but I believe that is why TNA signed him. I am guessing that TNA thinks they will be able to show their title on PPV because Dan Severn was allowed to when he was NWA Champion fighting in the UFC.
There were too many botched matches in this PPV, it's too bad because if it was executed better maybe it would have been close to a 9 rating.
It seemed like there was a timing issue the whole PPV. It may have been the opening match with the Pope not being there & they had to redo how the match went. Maybe it went too long, and threw off the rest of the card.
That's my theory on all the quick weak finishes anyway.

this ppv was cool. The ultimate x match was hella tight. The foley match was ok but the one he did in wwe with terry funk dreamer and edge at one night stand 2 was WAY better then this one at bfg. All in all cool ppv

Uuum, incase you haven't noticed TNA has about 20 knockouts or near 20 knockouts. Do you think all of them can go after that 1 single's knockouts championship. I'm sure if given the proper time, TNA can put together a few more makeshift teams and make them work like Sarita & Taylor and leave the Singles Knockout division with about 3-4 competitors competing for the belt.

U also forgot Christy Hemme, Traci Brooks, Sojo Bolt, & more to come. That is 13 women. And way too many to compete for 1 title. Don't forgot that WWE has 2 women's titles as well. The Divas title on RAW and then the Women's title on Smackdown. Raw only has 8 women with only about 3-6 women competing 4 the strap & Smackdown only has 6 women where again 3-5 women compete for their women's strap. So 1 strap isn't enuff 4 a women's division. TNA can make teams anytime. No problem there.

There's a reason I'm not counting Hemme or Brooks, neither is a full time wrestler, they're valets or personalities, especially Brooks. Sojo was an oversight, but even still, she's not considered by many as being a top contender to the strap especially given she's only been in the industry for about a year now and still has much to learn and much to accomplish and earn.

Hell yeah, though I think it should have been VicTARA vs Kong one on one for the belt; that would have been the women's match of the year IMO. Instead we get this crap. All that build up, all that excitement I felt, gone just like that.
If ever there was a reason for Dixie to pull the trigger on Russo, that was it as far as I'm concerned.

Best matches I think were the Ultimate X 9no surprise there, the X Division guys always have the match of the night) and the Joe/Lashley match. Also you never mentioned the the 3 count that happend during the Foley/Abyss match. Now that was terrible

A few general observations...Dixie Carter is gonna shove Morgan down everyone's throat which really sucks. He's a carbon copy ripoff of every big monster type that's been in the biz over the last 10-15 years(Nash, The Giant, Goldberg, Lesnar)..Dudleys won the IWGP titles so they'll lose them back to some NJPW team at the Tokyo dome show..Steiner still has that 'it' power to take over when he wants to..Robert Roode is a great great worker..He's #3 in terms of workrate next to AJ and Angle IMO.

The ultimate X match was very entertaining and was a great way to kick things off. Unfortunately, the ppv went downhill from there. There were some moments that stood out in the 4 way tag titles match, and the Joe/Lashley match were you were like "Ok..this is what I'm talkin bout" but overall the show was meh...

I agree about the missed spots. This is something that bugs the shit right out of me. Also the gimmick matches are never as exciting anymore because they are used much too often. I did, however, enjoy Ultimate X tonight.

Anyways, the major problems, I had, w/ BFG 09 were that the effort lacked here-&-there as the PPV got closer to the end, this version of BFG felt less like "the" TNA PPV when compared to previous years, & some MEer who really didn't care during the TNA Title match... yeah...
However, the "young" talent went over (besides Morgan, but w/e), there were a lot of fun/entertaining moments & at least good matches, & TNA are set-up good for their "Make-or-Break" run, which is now 'til Lockdown, IMO.

I fully agree with that. Brian and RVD were backstage at BFG and really I would have loved to see either of their faces when they saw that spot with Suicide. I mean think of the implications if that structer fell apart because at one time both Shelly and Sabin were under it as well.

TNA signed Bobby Lashley for free PR. If he signs with StrikeForce or UFC they can put the TNA World Heavyweight Championship on him so its shown on their PPV events.

I am not sure that a MMA company will let him wrestle or allow him to show a pro wrestling title. I am not saying TNA was the most logical company in the world but I believe that is why TNA signed him. I am guessing that TNA thinks they will be able to show their title on PPV because Dan Severn was allowed to when he was NWA Champion fighting in the UFC.

There were too many botched matches in this PPV, it's too bad because if it was executed better maybe it would have been close to a 9 rating.
It seemed like there was a timing issue the whole PPV. It may have been the opening match with the Pope not being there & they had to redo how the match went. Maybe it went too long, and threw off the rest of the card.
That's my theory on all the quick weak finishes anyway.
