His exchange with Finkelstein about the Congolese issue is a great example of truly ignoring the finer point that his guest is making.
Finklestein is crystal clear about the fact that there is a stunning absence of "academic" work done in this area.
Instead he presents novelists albeit classic writers as "acknowledging" this event in their work and possibly in some form of pseudo activism of that time period to bring this area to attention.

I have to agree about the host of this show, here. He seems to just want to argue with Finkelstein for the sake of argument. I respect a host not to simply *pander* to their guest, but there is also the extreme of constantly arguing and quibbling over every little point of language or the usage of a certain word and whether or not it's appropriate.
