  • he should go back to the racetrack. he twists around the hammer and what ever of pseudoacrobatik stuff he does. but he even cant hit the nail or cant hold the hammer the right way. he cuts the frog and the sole with a nipper and its not clean. this guy has never been to a farrier school

  • Great Guy and great JOB!

  • I love how every farrier video has a bunch of no it alls. This guy is bent over sweating and people who don't know Jack have comments. There are a 1000 correct ways to shoe a horse. And he has been shooing this same horse for 5 years so obviously the client is happy, good job.

  • VTF blacksmith does not fire - totally crap, go away from the horses!!!

  • This guy is an idiot. He spews exactly what the industry has misinformed the people with bad info. I would never let him touch my horse.

  • CAN YOU DO MY HORSE?

  • Looking for a shoer to work with helper is what i would like to do I live in southern Cali, oc!

  • Notice how he knows nothing about hoof. He has no clue to the nature of his trade.

  • This is the dark art of pinching off the digital arteries. No healing is involved in this video. The process of numbing the foot because you don't know how to make it healthy with correct trimming.

  • Make a new video of this guy shoeing horses!

  • BEWARE of the RED TOMLINSON school. RED IS A THIEF. Hell take your money and NEVER call back with a time, place and then he'll hide from you with PO boxes, missed cell phone calls and non returned emails. THIS GUY IS A THIEF. PS this video has nothing to do with the Red Tomlinson thief.

  • Whoa! Stumbled across this one...I knew Dom as a kid when he was just getting started as a jockey...had a horse of his own named "Lightening." Was years ago, but he sure knew his way around horses then. (Dom, if you happen to see this, here's a shout-out from Michelle from the Foothill days!)

  • @buteobliss Hi michelle how are you.it would nice to talk to you.my e-mail is favorite @ yahoo.com. or my phone # is (760)703-9440.hope to talk to you soon.DOMINICK GIACOBBE.

  • Good looking guy. and fast, but I don't know if that is always a good thing.

  • @frostahorse thank you hope you are having a great day.

  • hey Dominick whats up bro this is yassine aka jason from morocco i was calling your # and it is not working anymore . your still the best horseshoeing dude in usa

  • @radia1981 Hey jason how are you.You can get a hold of me at favoritefarrier@yahoo.com.Hope to talk to you soon.Dominick

  • This guy is looking for a Internist, he uses seven tack nails, four on the outside and three on the inside. If you call his number at the end of the video, He will have advanced lessons for the person that want to learn from the best. He also a retired jockey and has many connection in the horse racing industry.

  • damn that guy is fast! thats the kind of shoer i like working on my quarter horses, especially since it sounds like he knows how to work on racing quarter horses.

  • @lermamedrano Thank you verry much.You can get a hold of me @ (760)703-9440

  • shoes destroy horses legs.

  • what ,what are you talking about have you any concrete evidence to support that ???,this fella isn't only fast hes a very good shoer

  • Last time i bought shoes the were 2.50 a piece.

  • cool vid . great job dude

  • Well AFACF, what can I say, all those critically lame horses I have seen that are now sound and not dog meat, indicates to me that it is worth investigating. Don't criticise until you fully understand the fundamentals and why it works. Not a single so called expert can come up with a good argument to convince me otherwise. For all those horse owners out their desperate to save their beloved animal, having tried the so called traditional methods keep your mind open, take a closer look.

  • hey how much does a shoer coast anyway

  • In California for a trim is about $45-$55

and a full set of shoes is $ 125

    thats for Hunter/Jumper/Dressage shoes

  • hes never been kicked. Did anyone see how he picked up that hind foot? You dont put the nails in your mouth because of the bacteria? well if that floats your boat. im not tryin to be an ass i just never heard of that.

  • Ever thought there could be a better way. Look at cytek.

  • please! gimme a break.

  • Are there any sensitive areas to the hoof you have to watch out for? Does anything ever cause the hoof to become brittle or weak?

  • nice job :)

  • you r the best i have seen on this site if u would drive 6 nails insted of 8 u would save alot of cash

  • and less compromise of the integrity of the hoof wall too :) but might a shoe shift?

  • if it cant hold with 6 it wont hold with 8

  • that old saying sounds good, but some hooves need 8 , especially since he is resetting this shoe, the nail holes are probably wallered out some, so 8 nails will keep it tighter longer in this sort of situation. The extra cost to the farrier is about 6 cents a hoof to drive 8 rather than 6. 90% of the horses i shoe i use 6, but if my instincts say drive 7 or 8 then thats what I do.

  • I always wanted to know how to shoe a horse. You have some great video on how it is done right. It looks like he has been doing this for years. Look how fast he can shoe that horse and keep its attention.

  • Theres pleanty of good horseshoeing schools all over the place.

  • True PCHS horseshoeing school is a great school in California google PCHS the tuition is expensive but the school is 8 weeks

  • I went to oklahoma horseshoeing school in purcell. but yeah tuition is preatty expensive for most schools.
