Dark Samus: WAHAHAHA!! Fool! By setting foot on Phaaze, you've sealed your own fate! It won't be long until you are under my command. You shall help me conquer the universe as it is destined!
Hmmhmmhmm... It was over for you the moment my Phazon entered you on Norion. And upon your fly-in here, you've only quickened to your doom. The corruption is taking longer than I had thought. But now I will speed that up. And there are no Anti-Phazon Units to save you. You will become my greatest dark underling.
The troubles you have caused me on Tallon, Aether, Norion, Bryyo, Elysia, the Pirate's Homeworld, and even here, in the birthplace of Phazon, cannot compare to the ultimate weapon I will soon have. What is that weapon?
You. The galaxy is ours. Hmmhmmhmm. Let me finish... The Corruption.
Yeah, the normal items aren't much help. But the Missiles kind of are, and I think the amount of Energy Tanks matter. I dunno about that yet though, as I didn't get that far yet on my Normal run.
And the Ship Missile Expansions were pointless overall.
I just mean, look at the other final bosses. For them, every item was worth it. Prime 1 is the best example. Without extra collectables, you could NEVER beat MPrime! Beat it with minimal extra items!
Literally, breaking the normal sequence, collecting items out of order. Skipping all the expansions is normal. But getting items such as Space Jump first (Metroid Prime) or Power Bomb expansion early (Prime 1 and 2) will open up new ways of getting other items early.
I think there was one in Metroid Prime 3, getting Ship Missile before Ice Missiles, but you have to glitch through to a Secret World to get that.
The energy tanks don't make a difference. The yellow bar fills the same even if you get through the game with three energy tanks, the bar fills the same speed.
@whailman I kind of agree, in metroid zero mission you get all of your things removed including your suit just for a stealth sequence, but at least you get them back through defeating the chozo ghost.
@whailman how were they pointless? Only thing that didn't help at all was the beam upgrades because of Phazooon beam. Really the end game is the only place where the Hyper mode upgrades ARE useful and not just impractical wastes of phazon/energy tanks.
how do you get friend credits? i'd like to have 1....

Man, with that corruption level, it looks like there's now a "time limit" in this stage.

XD, I honestly can't imagine Dark Samus in that kind of voice. I'd expect her to be smart instead of crazy, lol.

@ShadowMario3 I imagine her to be a combo Magnificent Bastard/Complete Monster personally.

530 hyper mode uses? Wow, thats a lot.
Also, @the Phaaze cutscene: Was I the only one thinking "It's like I'm really watching Star Wars!"

Yay for making ALMOST ALL COLECTABLES POINTLESS FOR THE FINAL BOSS!
That is one of the reasons I dislike this game...

It's quite possible to beat Metroid Prime 1 and 2 without extra collectables.
And you can skip some main weapons via sequence breaking, resulting in 22% and 17% runs respectively.

But it would be mindcrushingly difficult...

@ShadowMario3 May I ask what "Sequence Breaking" Is, exactly?

@ShadowMario3 I think I read that the more energy tanks you had, the more time you got on Phaaze before Terminal Corruption set in.
I barely used Ship Missles more than I had to myself. THey're more for fun than anything else.

@gamemaster0422
Yeah, I found that out when I did a quick run through on Normal mode. The less Energy Tanks you have, the less time you have on Phaaze.
ShadowMario3 1 year ago
@ShadowMario3 But how many minutes do you get per energy tank?
