  • clapool now is like a mix between fripp and zappa.

  • fake and gay

  • @dustinwm94 fuck off

  • I would do anything to get the Eugenes part lyrics....

  • Gogol Bordello and Les Claypool.... holy shit ladies and gentlemen

  • Don't smoke meth kids! XD

  • Can anybody in this universe the lyrics to Eugene's part?

  • Can anyone tell me what Eugene is saying???

  • I remember my second Primus show Gogol Bordello opened for them. Guess they hit i off.

  • eugene hutz and les should make more music...thats a sick combo

  • fck how did I miss this one I'm loving this album O_O

  • This song contains two of the great musical geniuses of our time period!

  • I feel a need to create a video to go with this song. I'll put that on my list of things to do this summer.

  • THAT IS THE GOGOL BORDELLO SINGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He says the same things in there CDs.

I have the CDs of GOGOL BORDELLO,its him alright.

  • When did Les come out with this album?!

  • First time I heard this song I died laughing

  • Les is awesome

  • What kinda music would this be? lol

  • @blacky3llow

its claypool, thats the closest thing to a genre that anything by claypool gets to.

  • holy shit its Eugene! fucking awesome!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! what the hell is that from 0:16 to 0:32 ?

  • @zachbdude Idk.... It sounds like him getting laid or somthing

  • @zachbdude its russian

  • @gatoman46 hahaha

  • Everytime i turn on my laptop, i put this song on first! Love it!

  • I knew Les was left field, but I think he's finally lost his mind with this one.

    Pure genius

(burries head in the mud with respect)

  • Les, the bass player with two brains, is awesome to say the least, but Ler is a master of embellishment and I don't think people give him his due.

  • wow, that album cover is SUCH a Zoltron design lol

  • @chickenbiscito Yep.. the design and layout was done by Zoltron.

  • this is some messed up stuff, i love it...

  • Eugene sounds like Jello Biafra at times...

  • this song is just so awesome and catchy

  • Has anyone made the connection between the portraits on the cover and les' band?

Because, top left, to right and bottom right look like Les, Balavaldi, and Mike Dillon for sure. I suppose bottom left is the cellist.

  • Can anybody tell me if this is Eugene Hutz from Gogol Bordello doing the vocals? the vocals that aren't Claypool's.

  • @hisdudeness09 Yes, it's Eugene.

  • @hisdudeness09 most certainly it is Eugene

  • @hisdudeness09 Yep it is Eugene

  • claypool....a man of pure genius! loving the gypsy folk line in this album! This is one of his most recent isn't it, just before of whales and woe?

  • @Smeage Actually, this is the most recent. The album was released March 2009

  • I'm willing to bet Les was wearing purple when he recorded this

  • is that gogol bordelo in the background on that song, i mean i can pretty much tell for myself im just wondering about confirmation about that ya'know

  • when Les Claypool was born, he stood up and said:

    'Right, let's get to work'

  • les is really living up to his 'Residents' roots, he might aswell be avant-garde with the stuff he's been making

  • what does he say at 2:19 ?

it's in another language so i don't really know

  • @crazyedd123, Gogol is from Ukraine, so it's something in Ukrainian, my mom could tell you, but i have no clue, haha

  • Sounds very Basque/Gascon...

  • i met les in a bar in spokane once we drank and talked of irrelevent bullshit shook hands and went about our own way.

  • @wolderbeast THAT...is so awesome.

  • wolderbeast @primus567 lets just say we were feeling bit long in the tooth

  • @wolderbeast

Is he not taller/more american in person then you'd think?

    Unless you're american...

lol..I met him in toronto before one of his shows, and he signed my bass for me.

We like had a really brief conversation about venues while he looked my bass over and signed it, lmao, it was a trip. I put my hand out for a handshake, and he put a fist out and said "potato". lmao,

He's quite the character. Really cosmic.

  • @hailmetal16 same here, i saw him at the palace yesterday and i had him sign a vinyl copy of his album and went to shake his hand and he said potato and fist bumped me i almost died when i got to see him in person

  • @MrNousernames

    Dude, I totally understand.

He's my hero, and has been for many years, lmao, and the fact that I told myself I'd get my bass autographed by him one day, and actually succeeded and thensome...wow, unforgettable.

But that potato thing... I'm certain that he just wants to be sure that some psycho doesn't cut his fingers off, or like, break them.

    He's deffinetly an all-seeing ultra-terrestrial.

  • @wolderbeast 'what a couple of dumbshits'

  • @wolderbeast holy shit just like harold!

  • Does the guy from Gogol Bordello sing with Les in this song?

  • Nevermind. I read through the comments, and it looks like it is him. That is a great combo right there.

  • Yes it is...

  • Eugene Hutz

  • I thought that Primus sounded weird. That is what makes Mr. Claypools songs interesting. They are not your every day rock, or metal. It is fusions of different songs. Les has only became more creative over the years. Always good to branch out and try something radically different.

  • its avant garde!

  • The great thing about Les Claypool is that, for example, if you were to ask me what any other band sounded like, I would say "Oh, that band sounds kind of like Led Zeppelin, Queen, Rolling Stones, T Rex, Beatles, Metallica, etc."

Primus and Les Claypool are the only bands I can think of where I kind of scratch my head when someone asks what they sound like. "Frank Zappa, maybe."

  • for sure, a genre of their own.

  • cause its avant garde!!!!!!

  • none of those bands you listed sound the same at all. But i love les.

  • Thats what I love about it too! I guess u could kinda see some of the residents in them too but ultimatly just to describe one song takes about 6 genres!

  • @Roxxxxxxxbottttter if i had to said sounded like somthin then would b Tom Waits if he lived in a swamp :D

  • @Roxxxxxxxbottttter Primus sounds very similar to The residents. Les even covered 3 different residents songs (hello skinny, Constantinople, Sinister Exaggerator).

  • @Roxxxxxxxbottttter seriously right lmfao, exactly how i feel

  • @Roxxxxxxxbottttter What about the Gorillaz man? Their kind of hard to link to any other band. Their style is so original.

  • @Roxxxxxxxbottttter yeah, frank zappa is as close as you can get. maybe mr.bungle. those 3, primus, zappa, bungle are all bad fuckin ass

  • @Roxxxxxxxbottttter

    How about Mr Bungle?

  • Man this is the weirdest fuckin thing I've ever heard, and I thought his work in Primus was weird. Les just gets more and more creative. This shit is insane!!!!

  • listen to Damião Experiença... it's weirder than this... and this is rox.... ^^

  • They ask in embassy!

Eugene and Les are fantastic together. I hope they collaborate more in the future.

  • I think it's those go go gophers singing.

  • @Beatnikzombie LOL!

  • its almost like les was like "this song is missin somethin," then said "i know lets have a guy yellin some incoherant african language!" ...genius!!

  • I am thy said boy who indeed took a bite out of the pie called life

  • if i asked an all-knowing computer what genre this is it'd probably implode.

  • whoa whoa whoa, is that Eugene from Gogol Bordello? Thats insane. Never in million years would the thought of combining funky dark style of les claypool with the gypsy punk of Eugene. This could possibly be the greatest achievement in musical history.

  • I concur.

  • @AJRM18, dude hell yeah it is, that's why i love this song to death, two of the coolest performers on stage combined to make this yodeling craziness, it's bomb :D

  • @AJRM18 I know, right?

  • @AJRM18

Gogol opened for Primus in Sacramento a few years back. It was great!

  • gdzie gra w grudniu bo wiem ze w wiedniu gra w marcu:)

  • Going to see him live in december cant wait!!!!!!

  • Brothers from another mother, these two.

  • got my tickets back for his gig in the 02 london ! cant wait to see this song played!

  • Some of Claypool's best work right here.

  • Completely bizzare. But its great!!!!!!!

  • my favorite song from this record

  • same here. i wish the others had this much energy. i hope there's a live recording someday

  • Man....I would have loved to be a fly on the wall in the studio THAT day.

  • @MorbidBliss22 Why?

  • some of the words are not Russian (maybe Ukranian, I'm not sure). In Russian part he sings "You bitch!" (in chorus), "You to me, and me to you", "that's goog to read, to lay, Caucasis!"

  • second singer is Eugene Hütz, vocalist of Gogol Bordello. He sings Russian

  • The lyrics can't be right. There missing all the parts that he says in some wierd language. If thats actually words.

  • yeah, I have no idea what the Russian part is saying.

  • Damn I love this song.
