  • These are the best classical pianists. So the video's title should be "best classical pianists", not simply best pianists.

  • It is nice to hear other pianists play their beautiful, awesome pieces. Thanks.

  • I love Marta Deyanova's Rachmaninof's prelude!

  • what is the name of the first piece? I love it!

  • Comment removed

  • @filterboi Rachmaninov prelude op. 23 #5 followed by #2

  • Jeno Jando is the best pianist in my opinion, his cohesion with the orchestra or ensemble is nothing short of perfection.

  • he has to be one of the cleanest pianists ever.

  • Never heard of them

  • Also, Jando is simply stunning - a great virtuoso.

  • Deyanova has some subtle quality in her playing that allows the listener to become aware of something spacious, like staring up at the night sky.

  • Jando is a pianist who we should all respect just for his enormous repertoire, let alone his phenomenal musicianship. Just ridiculous, the amount the man's played!

  • Not well recorded nor played above the average highschoolstudent. Her Scriabin is more provacative and musical. All da pianists play this repertoire and it only takes a second to see who has a special communicative power. This series is a stunner becaue of who it includes.Immemorable performanes from same.Must be publicrelations work.

  • Jando's version of Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini is probably my favorite interpretation, don't get why so many of these people on here are hating on him.

  • What??? Who did this?!?!? BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • I'm very proud that our great pianist Marta Deyanova took place in this here :)

  • This idea of "best pianists" is so damn stupid, as the people the maker has chosen are completely second rate artists compared to the real Gods of the piano.

  • And finally (?) I would like to add this: Dearest earthatic.... thank you, for starting this serial, so that I/we have the opportunity to "meet" pianists.... Masters of Music. Art.

You are doing so well, presenting your favourites, taking your time to present them to us, in wonderful videos. With pieces of concertos so so so beautiful!

    I LOVE it.

  • Maybe its your personal opinion that Jando was a good pianist (who apparently was one of the greatest), and want to include rather lesser known pianists, I suggest you to take a peek at Levant, Horzsowski, Hambourg, Casadesus, Rehberg, Yudina and others. I am sure which pianists you would choose after you dig deeper in the world of pianists; some of the greatest gems are too caked with dust to find, but what you can find is something much better than the easy-to-acquire Naxos.

  • Again, I absolutely agree. How can anyone include these other pianists in the same category as Argerich is a mystery to me.

  • If I wanted to post something from all the great pianists it'd take at least over 25 videos, 2 pianists for each video, and i'm not even including these pianists!

  • To RabidCh, I will be posting around 40 videos in this series.

  • Agreed, but I'm not sure even a fraction of the great pianists can be posted in 25 videos. ;)

  • I'm just suprised because someone like Jando or Deyanova comes before pianists like Horowitz, Rubinstein, Richter, Rachmaninoff (himself!), Hoffman, Arrau, Cliburn, and so many pianist who not only had technical skills and had great emotion in them. Compared to them, Jando and Deyanova is a joke.

  • With respect for you, and for your idea here about the greater and the lesser pianists in the world, me myself don't experience Jando and Deyanova as a joke.

Everyone who is gifted with musicality and who worked hard to become a Piano Master, and earns even only the first rung of the ladder called "Success" earns a place in the Galery of Piano Masters, though there are just a few who deserve a place on the Golden Stage in that Galery called Eternity.

Yes, I agree, they are the Best Pianists.

  • Maybe it is an idea to vote at the end of this serial for those who deserve a Place on that Golden Stage called Eternity....: in a special video, called "The Golden Stage Of Eternity" .... but maybe there are better ideas.... ?

  • And after that... we can vote for our personal "The Best Pianist Ever.."

May there be a special video for the One and Only... for me, for you, and you, and him, and her...

Wonderful. I know the name. The Name.

  • Great, you know that Name, whatever in the world that is, ha.

I am a very selfish man, and sadly, I always demand to know why. Why do you put someone like Jando as the Best Pianist ever?

  • There is nowhere a word about The Best Pianist ever....

It is all about The Best Pianists ever.

There is a huge difference in one character...

Well, it is nice, for those who love this, and are curious about those who will appear in it.

There is a lot to ask ourselves if some things are needed or not. A lot seems useless in this world.

If you don't see the need for this serial, well, we live in free world, and it is not a duty to be here.... :) when I don't like a video I am off. You may too!

  • For me there is, indeed The Name. Because he is not only a pianist. It is much much much much more. That is chemistry. Unexplainable. That is why some people like mountains, and other deserts. I love the landscape of Afghanistan for instance, or Libanon. But there were/are wars, and I will never get there. And I will never meet The Name. But I am happy to hear sounds which make The Name alive. There are many names for God. And those who make The Name alive, he belongs to the Best Pianists.
  • But I will never name, nor write The Name.

That belongs to my own inner world. With my values, my deepest feelings, and to what I experience as Divine.

That is for me and the One.

  • EttasFavourites-In the Hebrew or Jewish faith-the word god is not uttered. Another word is used in referring to him.

  • Dear paulostroff99....

The One is not "God" for me.... I mean the Love I feel for The One, as a human being, but so much Loved, because The One can perform in the most excellent way what I experience as "God"... or "Allah".....

Or the name you give it. A name is just a name and not that what we express with it.

In the comment I don't want to mention the earthly name of The One, because I want it to keep it for myself.

  • EttasFavourites-Too intense and unimportant to me probing any further. I firmly believe in the adage-"keep it simple stupid". Thank you for posting this great pianists series.

  • Dear A.,

I believe there is no need to create that video. But since this is dedicated to the best to walk the Earth, it seems a bit controversial!

  • Dear A.;

I hope life worked that way; the people who worked hard becoming the master of it, but those incidents are darned rare, and its very nice that Jando has become somewhat a household name by Naxos. I'm sure he is in the Gallery, but he and Deyanova is in the near corner, along with other stockpiled pictures, waiting to be hanged. They got a place in the gallery, but sometimes it just seems that they are placed before the first couple ones in the Gallery.

  • Well, dear Sinfoniette... I understand, I see what you mean, but you know, the order of appearance in this serial is at it is, as some visitors of a great Concert appear when they arrive, everybody knows who is a Star or a Little Star.... It is not important.

They all are invited. And they will find their place as everybody finds it's place in a Concert Hall. Those who arrive first, don't necessarily sit on the best places. They know that.

  • I do place someone like Argerich over the "older" pianists, but it is a Gallery, not a concert hall. A part of the soul lives in the Gallery, and although they are all invited, they are given the hanging-place by the visitors. You and I are one of the trillions of visitors.

  • The word "Concert Hall" is a symbol to explain what I want to explain from out of my feelings around this....

If there should be an order of good, better, best...

    I am not even invited..

But okay, you did, so the concert hall is big enough for those billions and trillions, and those who are on the stage, well... every concert hall has his own choice for those who will perform.... and your concert hall is different from mine, or earthatic.

I cannot invite who I don't know. I am learning here..:)

  • You said it ! But everyone can express(and expose) their taste and knowledge here and that´s a good thing.

  • Another nice bird...yummy....I'd like to give her a good dressing down one day.!

I've always liked the Rachmaninov piece at the start....!

  • i want to be in one of these lists one day

  • Excellent. Eathatic you are really a music expert

  • absolutely fantastic. i am really enjoying this series. striaght to my favourites.

  • Ottimo

  • Awesome......

  • Nice conversations about the best.... :)

Well, it is a kind of taste too, and everyone has his or her own taste, or chemistry with it or not....

Besides that I am very happy that the world knows musicians who make the compositions of the piano-concerto-composers alive, and that we can enjoy that unbelievable high qualified music by listening to videos, CD's, live concertos, Masters.

    Great, Greater or Greatest. Ever.

    I love them all.

  • Jeno Jando and Marta Deyanova are two excellent pianists. Now, do they really deserve the title of "best pianists ever to walk the world"?

If so, that series is going to be very long......

  • Yes, as I have been telling EttasFavourites, the series is going to be very long, possibly even 30 to 40 parts. The world is filled with amazing pianists. The series won't just be the really well known pianists, the less known will be featured as well.

  • I can't wait for the next part!

  • @earthatic If Jando qualifies, I'd change the title to "most competent pianists". Take a look for Frederic Meinders on here, if you want to hear a truly outstanding living performer- one who actually has a discernible sound.

  • @klingsor93 -Certainly not!!!!!!!

  • Спасибо, всегда приятно получать от вас клипы с замечательным исполнением.

  • Please see my comment on your previous video. I think that THIS personality was the greatest pianist ever.

  • Two new names for me, bringing me beautiful piano sounds, and my favourite composers, so: a nice formule for five stars again......

By the way: who were the best piano builders? Who created the first piano?

That man earns a place here, I am wondering already so long who that might be. Which trees grow here on earth from which the wood has been used for building pianos? On which "name" Mozart played, and Beethoven? Rachmaninov?...

  • I shall have a look on google and let you know.

  • I have found some information and shall send it to you and anyone else who wants to know.

  • Great intro with some of Rachmaninoff's music!

Great video!! keep it up with the good videos!

  • Thanks!
