This version is more repetitive than shinee's and his voice is annoying after a while. I mean, it's unique and all, but after a while it gets annoying. Also, shinee's version has a stronger beat and more technique vocal-wise. I like shinee's better coz there's more variety and their costumes and background sceneries are more bright and colourful. And shinee's dance: wooh! And Martin what's-his-name fans, u should be glad that we're invading this. We're making this song famous!
i like shinee's version more. martin's is also really good too. he has a really powerful voice. for me and in my opinion, the only thing that makes shinee's version better is the instrumental. their's is a lot louder and more pounding and it really adds something extra to their vocals. the instrumentals on martin's are a lot softer. he has vocals that's powerful enough to handle something louder and richer. that would have made this beyond amazing.
I agree with you. However, Shinee did a better job because of the variety and different techniques of their vocals and their concept. Also, their MV is alot more appealing to the eye than Martin's because of the choreography and their choice of clothes and the changing colorful backgrounds. It's these little things that can change the success of something. But then again, props for Martin for singing this song so that Shinee had sonething to cover. Shinee's version is still THE SHIZZ though ;)

It's a marketing scheme. A lot of songs are sold to different artists of different regions. Just like DBSK's "Mirotic" single. The writers of that song sold rights to DBSK's people and rights to Sarah Connors. Sarah's single could only be released in European Regions while DBSK's single could only be released in Asian regions. It's a why for the writers to make more money. In the end it's a good money scheme. The songs aren't covers though, they were just released different times.

I like SHINee's version because Love Like Oxygen features each of the member's voices and makes it more unique.
Plus, the choreography, like others have said, is much more detailed and difficult.
Both versions are great though. :)
