Good drums. Great twirler. What's with the idiots in tennis shoes? Boy that little blonde can play the hell out of that trumpet.Yay for the twirler and the girl trumpet player.
@Unbeatenone The twirler is still there. The girl trumpet player left due to persecution from the ByrdBandWebmaster because she and herister outscored Pam and Jon Flairs son. They are at Caddo Magnet now,
@Flcracker94: You're right of course, but if you saw the "field" they have for practice you would understand why they march looking down. They travel to a field with 2 wide, deep ditches and enough pot holes to resemble a battlefield. They load up, travel, unload, pratice about 45 mins. load up again travel back, unload and put away equip. They try hard but without backing from their administration it's a wonder they can march at all. We're hoping to get a better field next year
In your dreams maybe. Get your harmonica and bring it on. Your band is so bad nobody wants to join.Notice you didn't show up at any competitions. These Byrd musicians will dust you off, no problem! Quit hiding behind your keyboard and get your big mouth out on the field. We'll be waiting! Oh, by the way; a video is worth a million words, so POST IT or SHUT UP!!!
Chuck Letson, I have to agree with you. I was in the Captian Shreve band program '99-'03 and I thought we were bad back then but they have gotten worse!! I wanted to play in Byrd's band when Mr. Edwards was there.
They're nearly sightreading a new piece for their danceline. As for being sharp, she's almost perfectly in tune even through the computer speakers! The solo is FORTE and it is a marching show in a stadium, not McCartney in a coffee shop. She is surrounded by low brass and the drum major doesn't even cue the volume down 'cause he knows she doesn't need it. She dropped the intro an octave to soften it up. We like our trumpets a bit bolder than that timid little sound the kids at new albany make.
OMG...Horn angles... Cmon really?? A trumpet isnt heavy.... If everyone's horn angles stay up, then the band as a whole will sound better and louder.
We'll stand at attention with horns up for 10mins at a time, just do that during basics blocks and this will sound better. Its not too bad though, I liked the solo =)
my highschool band did a different beatles show with magical mystery tour, cant buy me love, something, and hey jude. this is sick though, i love hard days night!
I'm glad to hear the Clifton Ellis Byrd High School fight song all the way through for once. Shame on those trombonist for not playing their melody all the way through. Surprise Mr. Edwards let them get away with that.

Memorization isn't hard (flip folders?). And the soloist sounds so sharp, it's a soft solo.
