You almost brought tears to my eyes. God has truly blessed and anointed you. My desire is to be able to do just a portion of what you do and bless God with a private love session first for it is Him who has given me my gift. Secondly, I want to minister to myself, and THEN I want to electrify audiences worldwide. I spent 27 years in the military and had the good fortune to visit many countries. People say my chords are like non other and if I'm anointed me to play the B3...my God!
I work for Kurzweil Music Systems, and in the past few weeks we've been refining our Hammond emulation.
Every time someone starts to get cocky about it sounding good I point them to this video and they are humbled (I've spent at least 20 fruitless hours trying to replicate the high D at 0:16.)
and they said derrick jackson was better....I dont know bout dat now....doc bufford is da baddest nigga of all time...Like to see him and ezell ealy out of the bay area teach these youngstas how to play the organ RITE!
Ezra, so far you and Sam Tolbert are the best I've heard here on youtube. I'm sure I havn't heard everyone but up to this point, you two have the cleanest, tightest and smoothest touch. You can tell when people have played for a long time. Keep on playin! Thanks
would you come to a church and give a lesson once a month? I would just like to learn some basic moves I already play piano and some organ. I might have another person intrested to.
you are truly talanted at this kind of stuff. i hope that the lord blesses you throughout your life and anyone with your amazing abilities. its just too bad that some people who have talants like this waste their time not believing in god and not putting it to use. you truly have a gift. MAY GOD PRAISE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!
Brother Ezra: Thanks for sharing your gifts with us. I just want to know how can I get my left hand to flow like yours. Thats part of my hang up in playing the B-3. Can you offer any suggestions?
In organ playing your left hand most of the time should be only 2 notes/fingers (like 'E' and 'C' with a right hand 'C' chord & etc.) as to playing with your right hand chords. (Left organ hand chord=play a note, skip the next and play the next' -like 'C' & 'Ab' along with a right hand 'Ab' chord)
Bro Ezra: Thank You for your reply. I will start working on it asap. I want to know if you ever address this on any of your lessons? If you do, please do it again, and give some examples as well. Thanks.
Ca thanks but the only thing about Jesus Christ is that He's real and more then just music...He's life itself and with him life IN HIM is a solid Rock because He is solid.
the cd that you want to make soon will make you welthy
there are people that want to here this kind of music the new stuff is wonderful but this is what will keep us and the project will sell all across the united states
Wow how can I find some charles nix recordings? Man you are the best. Would you ever consider leaving indianapolis, indiana to play for a mega church for a six figure salary?
If I was by myself I would jump on it! I'm retired as of this past Jan. 1, '07-But wife, wife's good job, her close nit family here, Home church -and his (long time friend of music pastor) only organist hes got. -all put together it would be hard but I can do guest ministries and get on back here by Sunday LOL' thanks
LOL. How can I find some of the charles nix organ cd's? Man you and this guy out of memphis named derrick jackson are the best organists I have ever heard. What is the going rate out in indiana for good organists in big churches? Out here in cali a good one atleast makes $500 a sunday.
Thanks cd & min. The going rate here is small $50-250 organist, MOMusic $150-500 wk min pray that I can do that!!! I have a piano hymn CD i made here at the home for $12. ebufford@sbcglobal dot net /ww.ezrabufford dot com
The distortion often comes from the leslie's built in preamp. Especially if you turn the leslie all of the way up then use the volume pedal to control the actual volume of it.
Naw, just a good old B3 sound. Now I don't know but my church just spend $283.00 because that big Leslie bass speaker in the Leslie went out this week. Maybe some of that noise was it getting ready to go out. Hmm'
A torn cone can usually cause distortion, I've never heard one so who knows. Can you possibly find out what brand 6550 tubes (the 2 big tubes on the right side of the amp) and what brand the 12AU7 preamp tube is (the small tube in front of the 6550 tubes)? I was told that a NOS Tung-Sol (also labeled as Leslie or RCA) preamp tube or a set of Tung-Sol 6550 tubes can provide a little growl. I'd like to get a little growl in my Leslie so that's why I'm asking. Thanks.
