  • I'd love to see a stop frame slideshow of that guitars life. And play it just once.

  • Hey greg what is your back track called?

  • @Neversleeps1979 It's "I need your lvoe so bad"

  • it looks like that guitar went through fire! BEAUTIFUL!

  • All i can say is ...i want it...wow...not too many guitars around like that today...one of a kind

  • dont you like P90s right?

  • How do you get all of these guitars?

  • AWESOME

  • my god... the tone of this git is just magical... love it.

  • *sigh* wishing there was more of the neck pickup straight thru clean into the vibrolux

    on to parts 5, 6, 7, and 8!!

  • back then, when the name Gibson was'nt dirty. wonderful.

  • is the guitar next to the telecaster in the background another Gibson Les Paul 1952 ?

  • no, just a reissue

  • I love the lick at .52 - .53.

  • Please tell me what scale you are doing.

  • mostly major pentatonic plus some arpeggio stuff

  • Awesome Job! Have u ever tired any epiphone Les pauls like the epip standard. Not the cheapest one but the next one up. If so what do you think of them?

  • I'm sorry, no

  • is that a song or did u make that melody up? fuckin love it great job

  • it is just an improvisation based on peter green's need your love so bad

  • a lot

  • @27Sofia1 Lets do the math. The cheapest one in this condition I’ve seen is $15,000. 1 59 PAF is $3000, 2 is $6000. Plus upgrades, miscellaneous (parts, repairs, taxes, the fact that it was probably more than 15 by a bit) and shipping, probably about $25,000.

  • Is that the thick or thin neck?

    Awsome playing of course

  • yes it 's more on the thicker side

  • moja omiljena pjesma ...

  • Tell the truth now Greg..You want to keep this one don't you..:)..lol

  • The terrible truth it is comissioned for sale already :-(

  • Great tone..thx for uploading these vids.

  • Langweilig?

  • Fantastic Greg! you go some BB king in your soul i see.

  • Is this backing track "I'm gonna find another you" by John Mayer? Where'd you get it?

  • Its a fairly common chord progression in blues. Sounds like "Aint nobody's bizness" ala Freddie King style too

  • I think it is Fleetwood Mac's "Need Your Love So Bad" (the progression of which they stole from somebody else, too) and Greg's improvisation owes a lot to Peter Green, too

  • Love the look of a well worn in guitar

  • That's not true, Malteboy777. Sometimes Greg plays jazz or 50's rock and roll. But I see your point. Greg doesn't seem to like a wide range of music, at least when he's playing, which is not a bad thing at all, contrary to popular belief. Everyone has their own tastes in music.

  • I understand why you think his playing style is boring. Its probably because you have eclectic tastes. However, you have to remember that Greg's videos are not demos... They're just him playing his guitars in his own limited style. Once again, everyone has their own tastes in music.

  • Ok, Malteboy. I've seen on your channel, that you are the guy who lurkes every video I do and give them 2 stars. Why do you do that? You will find millions of other videos here on youtube wich provides your taste of music. And you do videos too. Do you want to get 2 stars everytime for your videos everytime you do a video?

  • I will do the stuff I do, I will play solos on the upcoming videos too.... so you better don't subscibe my (free) videos if you wann hear things I don't do.

  • Umm maybe because he likes to play blues and isn't really a rock/metal player. Besides most metal players don't play 1959 Les pauls anyway.

  • It dosen't matter what you play or what you play on, as long as it sounds great! And I could def. consider play metal on that guitar! No problems there..

  • I didn't say it did, but be honest most metal players some form of pointy looking guitar not traditional guitar shapes. Im not saying you can't buy Dime Razorback and play Jazz, but most people in certain genres stick to certain guitar buying niches.

If you don't like the soloing in Greg's videos simply don't watch them. Many people like it and I could listen to him solo all day. Plus if you watch some more of his videos you'd notice he often opens with chords for looping his BTs.

  • @Malteboy777

That's wrong with the guitar market now. Everybody thinks "vintage" is the way to go although they don't play music that made the "vintage" instruments famous. Greg plays "vintage" guitars through a modern preamp arrangement but it goes into a "vintage" Fender tube amp. Metal on that guitar wouldn't be what you would expect out of a humbucker.

  • I really love how the nitro is cracked. Sounds so free and nice.

  • The intro sounds like "Need Your Love So Bad" by Fleetwood Mac.

  • yeah i thought the same

  • so do you ever keep any of these guitars?

  • Beautiful!

  • what happends to all the guitars you play

  • I sell them
