I've seen crysis slightly lagging on a HD 5970 (4gb ram with 3.7 ghz quad core). But fraps was also recording ;)

I guess that 40 fps is without AA.That's similar to stalker clear sky.

ya but 4870 is alot better card than 2600pro oO i had that 2600 for a few months, would overheat so i switched to the xt which ran alot cooler for some reason...now running 8600 which has so far been alot better- raised vista score 1.4 (4.4 to 5.8)

ya, i dunno- the vista scoring system is kinda crappy, i'm leaning towards using 3d mark or any other benchmark...i just switched from a 8600gt to a 8600gts and my vista score only went up .1 even though the gts is %30 better than the gt....and plays all my games at about 15 more fps than the gt...

eh, 15 fps is a big boost, and that is around 30% better but i know, doesn't seem like it but it's a difference. all the gts is that's it'll clocked a little higher that's it
