That's funny, because I thought that the whole point of using a steadicam was that you didn't need to mount it on wheels to get a smooth shot. So, what's the point of this thing?

@richterv Moving the operator on a compact wheeled platform allows them to focus on the shot, execute multiple takes without tiring, "creep" very slowly, "run" much more quickly (than operating by foot), and go for long or complicated takes. More and more experienced - even young - operators are seeing the benefits of this device.
